Ive had a really bad week so far and it sounds so tempting to shut down and drop everything off and go back to self destructive behaviors and bathe in my depressive thoughts but im still taking care of myself and doing my thing in spite of everything and it is of my displeasure to announce that its working.
Its all working out and im coming out strong and im seeing the beauty and the joy in life no matter how many times ive faced the horrors in a day and im still chosing kindness and keeping my chin up and moving forward.
#p#personal#like yesterday i ended my day with a heavy chest and tears in my eyes and an escapist fantasy#but still chose to take that shower and do my self care and sleep in my clean sheets#so today i woke up clean and rested and with a lighter heart and some more will to keep going#the escapist fantasy doesnt sound bad at all though. specially because i have some resources so its viable#but ive rebranded it into starting a new leaf

LEAVE ME TO DREAM
➸ pairing: arcane survivor!jayce talis x fem!reader ➸ word count: 1.5k ➸ tags: mdni! porn with plot, angst, hurt/comfort, grief/loss, depression, sad ending, rough sex, choking, sorta-dubcon. ➸ notes: wow this was a lot more depressing than i intended it to be lol. my apologies. i rewatched yesterday and felt so much emotion for arcane survivor jayce and wrote whatever came to mind! i hope you like it 🥹
Months had passed, months without Jayce. You remember the days clearly back then, he had been avoiding you – spending hours and hours in his lab after Viktor left. It was fine, you learned to manage seeing him only when he wanted. You told yourself it was fine
It wasn’t, but you managed.
Then he disappeared, as though he vanished out of thin air. Everyone you spoke to brushed you off, no one in the council would even look in your direction. Ambessa made it impossible.
You were a mess, alone in your apartment for weeks. Months.
There were days when you wanted to give up because what was life like without Jayce? There was no life with lost love, it was so painful that your stomach twisted in pain every waking hour. You’d begun to grieve, losing yourself to the idea that he’d never return. That his body had become one with the earth where he might lay dead.
It was late afternoon, your body curled into the blankets, naked and basking in the sun that pooled through the window. You had been in and out of sleep all day, tossing and turning. Having managed to shower, but nothing else but crawl back into your safety and remain there.
You dreamt of Jayce, like you always had. Memories flooded your mind, tears settling in the outer corners of your eyes.
Sleep was taking you over, eyes fluttering when the door to the apartment slammed open. You jolted up, hands grabbing at the blankets that you wrapped around your body haphazardly.
“Who’s there?” You shouted through a shaky voice, adrenaline coursing through your veins. Your bare feet padded along the wooden floorboards, heavy as you stomped toward imminent danger with nothing to lose, “My fiancé will be back any second,” you lied, baring your teeth as you turn the corner into the main area of your quaint apartment.
That’s when you gasped, the sound mixed with a strangled scream. Shaky hands covered your mouth.
“Jayce?” You croaked, “Oh my gods, Jayce.”
You weren’t permitted time to greet him, nor comment on the way he appeared. Rugged, a beard and hair that hung over his ears.
The door slammed behind him and the hextech hammer dropped to the ground with a thud heavy enough that the wood cracked beneath. He stepped toward you, earning another gasp as you were pushed against the kitchen table.
“Jayce,” your voice full of worry, fingers touching a beard you’d never seen on him before, “where have you–”
Lips crashed to yours, tongue forcing its way past your lips. You moaned, abiding by his movements as the blanket fell from your body, and you sat atop the table, thighs tight around his hips. Arms snaked around his neck, fingers tangling into his shaggy hair and tugging harshly as emotions flooded you. Tears streamed down your cheeks, dripping down your neck as you whined into his mouth.
“Can we talk?” You forced yourself back, chest heaving with heavy breaths as you looked into his eyes. All you could see was pain and loss, fear – anger. Wherever he was, he had been tormented, left him a shell of a man, “Jayce, please–”
He blinked hard, twitching as if to blink a vision away.
“No,” he growled, face burying against your neck as he sucked and bit with his scarred lips, rough hands groping at your naked hips hard enough you tried to squirm away.
“Stop,” you whined, your body reacting to his touch as your wet cunt rolled against the erection hidden under his slacks, but you yearned for more than this. You had questions that burned your mind, a need to heal whatever hurt him. To tell him that you missed him and loved him, that you were scared he’d been dead.
Your mind was blurry, heart pounding with a flurry of emotions as you tilted your head back and cried out.
“Just… be quiet,” he hissed, biting hard against your neck and causing you to yelp, “please,” he begged against your skin, tongue licking at the bruise that had formed over your skin.
You shuddered, lips quivering as you felt his hands grab at your body with fervor. You obliged, your heart knowing that this was a need. A distraction, perhaps, and you decided to welcome it wholly.
Jayce was back, that’s all that mattered. You had him. You could manage.
The man who was once tender with his touches was no longer here. His hands handled you with a sharp edge, leaving lasting redness and bruises in its wake, wrapped around your neck as you whimpered and tried to cry out in pleasure, but you couldn’t make a sound as his fingers pressed against the sides of your windpipe.
You were hastily pushed back on the kitchen table, dishes, papers and clutter pushed to the floor as Jayce fucked you with little remorse for your own needs. Your body had missed his touch, legs spread apart as his cock left a searing pain deep inside you and his teeth pinched your nipples.
With parted lips, all you could offer was a pitiful attempt at a whimper, eyes fluttering as he stared down at you – eyes full of rage. Lust and love were nowhere to be seen as he shoved two fingers between your lips, forcing your sounds to cease. You sucked as best as you could, offering the little energy you had to spare as your body shook beneath him.
The legs of the table creaking so loudly you were certain that it would break, the wood shaking and squeaking as it scraped against the flooring
Jayce’s breaths were ragged and heavy, moans choking in his throat as his cock fucked you in a tireless pace and he stared down at the way your breasts bounced with each hard snap of his hips. Your heels dug into the small of his back, thighs squeezing as the walls of your pussy clenched around him, silently begging for more.
He pulled his fingers from your mouth, and you gasped for air, the hand around your throat moving to massage your tits, instead pinching at your nipples hard enough that you squealed. You caught your breath and your eyes rolled into the back of your head. It was an incessant amount of pleasure and touch, leaving your body weak and near-limp.
Tears stung your eyes again, and you lifted a tired arm so your delicate hand caressed his bearded jaw. A gentle touch you had longed for since he stormed through the doors a different man that you’d seen him last.
“I… missed you,” you croaked between his unabating thrusts, whimpering voice catching in your throat with each deep send of his hips.
Jayce cringed back from your touch, flinching and twitching like he had before. His hands moved to your hips, stiffening his body and yours as he stared down at you with widened eyes and a newfound expression, as though clarity struck.
For a moment, his eyes flickered. There he was — your Jayce.
“Jayce,” you urged, moving to sit up as your hands rested on his cheeks, “please. Talk to me. I need you.”
His golden eyes grew damp, pupils dilating until they were blown out.
“I’m sorry,” the words croaked from trembling lips as the tears spilled down his cheeks. Emotions took over as he wailed out a sob, arms wrapping around your shoulders as he pulled you into a tight hug, face pressed into the side of your head, “I’m so sorry… sorry.”
You looked at the wall beyond him, your chin over his shoulder, as you listened to his cries and sobs. Your hands pressed against his back, soft and comforting.
He continued to mumble out apologies as you felt his tears stain against your skin.
Under your breath, you shushed him, hand gliding up and down his spine as you allowed him the space to feel. To exist without any negative repercussions, to live through whatever traumas he’d experienced while he was away.
The questions burned deep in your mind, but you bit back the curiosity. Your patience was thoroughly tested, but you could do this for him. You held your lover close and prayed to whatever god that would listen to keep him safe and in your arms. To keep him in your shared apartment, that he wouldn’t leave like he had.
“I love you,” he whimpered, nails clawing down your back and leaving reddened welts behind, “I’m sorry–”
You opened your eyes as he jerked back, watching in fear as he hurriedly put his clothes back on and grabbed the hammer. He was all over the place, leaving you unable to pin down the thoughts racing through his head, “I… I have to take care of it.”
“Take care of what? Jayce? Jayce!” You called out, scrambling to your feet as you chased after him, but your fiancé had already slammed the door in your face.
You whimpered, leaning against the door with your palms flat against the wood. Then you cried and cried for hours – begging that it had only been a bad dream. That the touches and bruises that lingered on your body would disappear much like he had.
You weren’t certain that you could manage any longer. Everything was a mess.

Ours To Keep (5) | Joe Burrow
Major Angst, Fluff
Summary: Joe’s words hang heavy over you. So much that you haven’t spoken to him in a week unless it was work related. Joe is on a mission to make it up to you.
You sat at your desk in your office typing away, answering email after email. The Bengals had their second pre season game yesterday against the Falcons, although Joe didn’t play yesterday, it was still a long day for you. Jake Browning’s assistant ended up getting covid, so you took on that role for the day. Mostly just to piss Joe off, which you succeeded in doing. Between that and losing the game, Joe was on a warpath.
He’d tried for several days to reach out to you, or corner you at work, or even show up to your house unannounced. But you always pretended you weren’t home. He feels terrible for what he said and he knows you’re hurting. But you’ve completely shut him out. He hadn’t heard anything about the baby, or if the baby was even okay. He deserved it, he knew that, but he thought the two of you would have talked it out by now.
Which is why he didn’t give you a choice when he burst into your office and slammed the door. You looked up instantly and let out a sigh, rolling your eyes and looking back down at your laptop. “What do you want Burrow?”
“Burrow? That’s where we are now?” It’s his turn to roll his eyes as he stands in front of your desk with his bulging arms crossed over his chest. “I’m busy” you say, not looking up. His large hand pushes the top of the laptop closed. “Not anymore.”
“I don’t want to talk to you.” You say. “Too bad. We’re having a baby together. You have to deal with me for 18 years” he retorts and you let out a dry laugh. “A baby that you don’t even want” you mumble. “I never said that I didn’t want the baby. I was just frustrated and you-“
“Are you really trying to justify how you treated me last week by saying that you were upset?!” You exclaim. “Joe, I can’t do this anymore. I can’t be your emotional punching bag whenever you lose a game or when you’re mad at the world. We’ve been together exclusively for all of 2 weeks and I spent one of them questioning everything” you rant, tears filling your eyes. “If this is how it’s going to be now, what’s it going to be like when she gets here?”
“She?” Joe asks, confused.
“The ultrasound. The one that you were too mad at the world to go to. We’re having a girl. By the way, I’m due February 11th if you even care” you spit. His face softens and he takes a step toward you, and you take a step back. “Baby-“
“No. Immediately no. You don’t get to come in here and do that. You said some really hurtful shit to me and you don’t get to act like it didn’t happen just because you’re saying sorry,” you rant. He opens his mouth to speak but you beat him to it. “I can’t be you punching bag Joe. I get it, your pissed because the team isn’t off to great start. You’re mad at the world, and that’s fine. But you don’t get to treat me like shit because you feel like shit. We’re a team, Joe. Now more than ever” you continue, tears brimming your eyes.
“When you didn’t show up to the ultrasound, I was more hurt than angry. You promised me you’d be at every single appointment, and that I wouldn’t feel like I was doing this alone. This week showed me a different side of you and I’m not sure how I feel about it. You aren’t my boss anymore, Joe. You’re my boyfriend. The father of my child. So if that’s not what you want, you need to tell me now. I’m tired of the back and forth and feeling like I’m just wanted for sex-“
“Hold on. I’ve never just wanted you for sex. You know that” he says defensively. “Lately it feels like if we’re not fucking, we’re fighting” you respond, your voice cracking. “Joe, I love you with my whole heart. I want to be with you more than I want the air in my lungs, but I’m not going to tolerate you being an ass to me every time you lose a game” you tell him, not breaking eye contact. You notice his eyes are brimmed with tears too.
“So if you want out, please just say the word-“
“I don’t want out. I don’t want to go anywhere” Joe says, stepping toward you. This time you don’t move. You let him wrap you in his arms and you start to sob into his chest. “I’m not going anywhere. Non now, not ever” Joe says, kissing the top of your head. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I have a lot of things I need to work on. Treating you better is at the top of my list. I’ve started going to therapy-“
You pull your head back and look up at him. “What?”
“I’ve been trying to reach out to you all week to tell you. I know that there’s no amount of apologies that can make up for what I said to you. I made you feel like I didn’t want you or this baby and that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Y/N, you’re my best friend. You’ve stuck by me at my worst. I’ve lost my mind. But all I’m asking is that you try to forgive me. I’m not asking for right away. I just want you by my side without hating me-“
“I don’t hate you Joe. I’m still very hurt, though. It’s going to take some time” you tell him. “In the mean time, I have sonogram pictures. Do you want to see our little girl?” You ask him, a smile forming on your face. “Uh, yeah. Is that even a question?”
•••
Joe headed back out to practice after looking at the sonogram pictures. You were still really hurt, but seeing his smile while looking at the small pictures made you happy. Before he left he gave you a kiss, and after a week of not speaking to him, it had your hormones soaring. You lean back in your desk chair and place a hand on your growing bump.
It’s only a matter of time before people start to figure it out. Wearing hoodies and baggy clothes is only going to work for so long. It was a relief that Gabby knows though, you didn’t have to wear a hoodie in your office and your desk hid your bump if anyone besides Joe or Ja’Marr came in. Speaking of Gabby.
“Hey, girlie. Brought you lunch. You and baby need to eat” Gabby says, placing a bag in front of you. You groaned at the smell of the food. You didn’t realize how hungry you were until now. “Subway? How did you know I’ve been craving a chicken bacon ranch”
Gabby laughs. “You’ve only been talking about it for 3 days”
“I saw Joe coming out of here a few minutes ago. How did that go?” She asks while taking a seat at her desk. “It was okay. He apologized profusely and we looked at sonogram pictures” you tell her as you start to literally devour your sandwich. “He understands that I’m still hurt and it’s going to take a little while before we’re back to normal” you add. “Good. He can’t treat you that way just because we lost a stupid game” Gabby says.
“And speaking of sonogram pics, did you find out what your having yet?” Gabby asks excitedly. You look up at her with a smirk on your face and she jumps to her feet. “Y/N! Oh my god!” She squeals. “We’re having a girl” you tell her, and she squeals even louder. You suddenly stand to your feet with urgency.
“Sorry to cut this short but this baby is sitting right on my bladder and I have to pee”
•••
You find yourself walking up the driveway of Joe’s house after work. After not being here for a week, you’d be lying if you said you didn’t miss sleeping in his bed. Since the beginning of your pregnancy, you’ve slept better if he was there. So when he called and asked you to come over after work, you agreed.
You open the door using you key that he gave you and walk in to a delicious smell of food cooking. You walk toward the kitchen where Joe stands in front of the stove stirring some kind of sauce. “Hey,” you say, and he turns around with a soft smile. “Hey gorgeous”
“What are you making?” You ask as you wrap your arms around him from behind. “Cajun shrimp Alfredo. Your fav” he says, and you smile. “You’re really trying to butter me up, aren’t you?” You tease and he lets out a laugh. “I think I’ve buttered you up enough, hence the baby bump pressing into my back” he jokes, and you both laugh. “You filled me up, not buttered”
“Y/N!” Joe calls out surprised while you let out a loud laugh. “My god, what am I gonna do with you” he jokes, turning around in your arms. “Um…” you tap your chin pretending to think. “You can start by bending me over this counter,” you tell him, giving him what he calls the bedroom eyes. He smirks. “Oh yeah? Then what?” He asks, walking you back until your back is pressed against the counters edge. “Then you can fuck me until I see stars” you whisper, before he smashed his lips onto yours.
The kiss is filled with passion, and pent up sexual frustration. Joe’s hands land on your ass, giving both cheeks a firm squeeze, while your hands move along his biceps. His kisses start to move down your neck and you crane your head to the side to give him better access. The growling of your stomach causes him to laugh against your neck before pulling away. “As much as I want to do this, let’s get some food in you and then we can talk about sex” he says. As he’s playing the food, he looks deep in thought.
“You okay? You look a little lost” you say with a slight laugh. “Yeah, I’m good. There’s just something I want to talk to you about,” he turns toward you and he sets the glass plate in front of you on the kitchen island, and stands across from you. “You can totally say no. But I was wondering if you wanted to move in here? With me” he says, his voice quaking from nervousness. “I just figured it might be easier once the baby comes, and you’re here all the time anyway-“
“Joey, I would love to move in with you” you say, reaching over to place your hand on top of his with a soft smile on your face. “There’s also something I’ve been meaning to bring up to you” you start, and let out a sigh. “I think you should stop paying me” you say, looking up to meet his eyes. “Why wouldn’t I pay you? You work hard, and on top of everything else you’re still my assistant” he says, confused. “We’re dating now, Joe. I’m sleeping with you. I’m not a prostitute” you say with a laugh. “But I’m not paying you for that. I’m paying you for all the shit you have to put up with because of me” he argues.
“Joe-“
“Not to mention game days. I put you through hell on game days” he rambles, before taking a deep breath. “You done?” You ask him. “I don’t want you to pay me anymore, baby. If I’m going to be living here I’ll be fine. I only had you pay me before because I needed to make rent money. Now, I’m not saying you’ll be responsible for everything financially. I’ve found a remote job that all I have to do is log onto a computer. I’m going to do that, while still being your assistant because whether you want to admit it or not, you need the help” you joke, and he scoffs.
“You’re not wrong.” He says and you laugh.
After that, the two of you eat in silence. But not an uncomfortable silence, just enjoying each other company. Once finished you walk your and Joe’s plates over to the sink, as he leans against the island watching you. When you turn toward him he smiles and opens his arms for a hug, but you have other ideas.
“Now I wanna do something that I’ve been thinking about all week,” you say, as you drop to your knees in front of him. He has a smirk on his face as he looks down at you. “Go to town, baby”

to be loved — carlos sainz
carlos sainz x you — “i can take care of you. you won't need anyone but me.” requested by @dancininseptember masterlist
The short stroll from your office to the apartment never really bothered you. In fact, you typically enjoyed the fresh air and the chance to enjoy the city you loved. But it was early February; rain was threatening the Spanish skies and the frost bitten breeze stung your already tear-filled eyes. It was a crappy end to an even shittier week, your energy wasted on people who didn’t deserve it.
You practically flung yourself through the door of the apartment and shed all remnants of the day – coat, beanie and scarf, all strewn haphazardly, and in that order, on the floor of your small entryway. It took every ounce of energy you had to kick off your heavy boots, each one hitting the wall much harder than you intended. Maybe it was an unconscious way for you to let out frustration, the scuff marks on the white wall a stark reminder of your last straw.
The smell of fresh bread and bolognese sauce hit you as you slunk down the hallway, your tummy grumbling on instinct. You hadn’t eaten since yesterday, a terrible habit you had fallen into lately and Carlos had noticed. He was home more during the cooler months, easily picking up on your little habits that both endeared and worried him. So he made sure, while he was close to you, that you came home to a warm meal every night – because looking after you was his calling in life.
“That smells incredible.”
Carlos briefly glanced over his shoulder and gave you a bright smile before turning down the stove and grabbing a washcloth to clean his hands. You loved him like this; soft and relaxed, in his element. The kitchen was his playground and you remember the sigh of relief that left your lungs when he told you he loved to cook on your first date, because you weren’t particularly gifted when it came to the pots and pans.
“Hope you’re hungry,” He sang, circling the island in the middle of the kitchen to say a proper hello to his beautiful girlfriend, “How was your day?”
A rigid sigh fell from your lips as you fell into his arms, the loving embrace triggering tears to spring to your eyes for the third time today. Carlos held you tight and brushed his hands down your back, comforting you through the sobs wracking your aching body.
“Ay, mi amor,” He soothed, “Breathe for me please.”
Carlos guided you through a couple of deep breaths, chests rising and falling together in synchronicity until your sobs subsided, air finally filling your lungs again. A tight squeeze around your waist brought you back to the man holding you in his arms, worried eyes searching yours for a sign that you were okay as you pulled back and gave him a soft smile.
“I’m okay, I’m sorry.” You sniffled, head shaking.
Carlos tutted as he thumbed away the trail of tears from your face, “Do not say sorry, my love. Talk to me…”
Anger replaced sadness as you told him about how your sister had completely disregarded your feelings for the millionth time, accusing you of only caring about yourself while she’s all alone and stressed about wedding planning. Carlos has managed to get you to sit up on the counter beside him while he finished dinner, but not before pouring you a glass of red wine to nurse while you purged all the negativity from your day.
“She called me a bitch and then uninvited us from the wedding, which by the way I didn’t want to go too to begin with,” You huffed, hands animatedly flying around while he tried to keep up with the drama.
“And all I said to her was that work has been stressful and that us trying for a baby hadn’t been… fruitful, I guess. She flipped out when I said that because her dickhead fiancé doesn’t want kids and she thinks she can change his mind…”
You took a sip of wine and noticed Carlos' eyes rolling like they always did when the topic of your sister came up. He was as sick of her shit as you were, unapologetically scoffing at her selfishness. Making you feel bad when all you needed was someone to confide in was one thing, but lashing out on you was something he couldn’t stand by and watch. He knew he couldn’t do anything right now; maybe he would make a stern phone call tomorrow once the dust had settled.
So instead of getting upset, he put down the wooden spoon coated in the most delicious sauce you had ever tasted and nestled himself between your swinging legs. His warm chocolate eyes stared into your soul as he planted his palms on your thighs, tethering himself to you.
“You know I can take care of you, mi vida,” He said, voice deep and barely above a whisper, “No matter the problem, you won't need anyone but me, I promise.”
For the first time in weeks, you felt your heart slow down and return to a normal rhythm as Carlos pressed a sweet kiss to your lips. You softly moaned in unison and gripped the grey shirt hanging loosely from his shoulders, pulling him in closer – not that he had any plan on going anywhere.
No, all he wanted was for his girl to feel heard and to be loved because all he needed was you.

THE DATE || JJK
Pairing : Boxer jk × Female reader
Genre : Established relationship, Boxer au

Warnings : Female reader, Butt taps, KISSES, a few suggestive comments but no actual smut, making out, shy reader and jk, Reader hates sushi (sorry if u don't lmao), cringe couple shit.
The bright light shines down on your and your boyfriends face as you struggle to get into your boyfriends car. "Need help getting your cute ass in there?" He asks causing you to groan, "Its all your fault jeon, shut up" you speak up glaring at him.
He feigns innocence and teasingly replies while holding his chest pretending to be hurt, "baby it was not me who was whining yesterday night to go faster"
"Its not my fault my boyfriend doesn't know how to fuck properly that I have to beg him to do the bare minimum" you look up at him with a teasing glint but immediately regret it when you see his dark gaze.
"And thats why you squirted three times yesterday, was yesterday not enough brat?", causing you to immediately smile and peck his cheek,
"I'm just kidddinngggg jungkook, don't be mean and start the car, I wanna go ride all the rides and don't be scared ill protect you",
causing jungkook to scoff, "Lets see whose the one who ends up crying like a baby". The car ride is pretty silent except for jungkook singing and cursing at people for not driving properly.
"You're so handsome" causing jungkook to look away from you and blush "get down baby we're here"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here you were standing in the line for about 40 mins to get on the ferris wheel, because according to jungkook its very romantic, "jungkook i can't do it please, its so hot i can't even stand" you say while taking heavy breathes causing jungkook to look at you while rasing his eyebrows, his hands grip your waist and pulls you closer, " If u wanted me to carry you so badly, all u could've done is asked instead of whining" he smirks and abruptly lifts you up causing you to yell at him.
"Jungkook are you dumb, put me down there are kids here, put me down you idi-mmph"
You feel jungkooks lip press onto yours harshly and his hands grip you tightly in his arms, you start feeling all giddy inside until u feel him pull away and lick a stripe up your cheeks. "JUNGKOOK YOU'RE DISGUSTING"
Jungkook puts you down and back hugs you so that you won't be able to hit him, "baby thats just how I show i love you, and u smelled so good" causing you to admit your Defeat.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sun starts setting down and jungkook decides that its time to picnic in the park,so you and you're beloved boxer boyfriend sit on the mat that you layed out.
You both were lying on your stomach and facing each other, jungkook had one of his hands on your hips holding your long flowy skirt down, and your hands were caressing his eyebrows, eyes, his scar, his lips, as you lean to Peck his lips.
"Did I tell you, you look really pretty today and the skirt looks really good on you"
"You did" , "nothing wrong with saying it again, you're so pretty, the prettiest and the cutest, even though we argue like kids sometimes, but that's something I wouldn't change for the world." This makes you tear up a but as jungkook was never really someone who spoke his feelings, you push his chest and make him lay on his back and lay on top of him with only your lower body on the mat and your upper bodies pressed together, you start pecking all over his face and whisper lovingly " i love you so much jungkook, you're so cute, the cutest cutie pie"
causing jungkook to groan, "I'm not cute baby, way to ruin the moment" causing you to giggle, "just like how your hard on is ruining the moment by poking my stomach, can't even be romantic with my boyfriend" you huff and lay down on your side facing away from him pretending to be mad.
Jungkook pinches your hips, "cmon turn around" and you don't.
But jungkook takes this as a perfect opportunity to hit your butt, the sound of his hands hitting your butt echoes through your ears as you yelp and bring your hands to cover your rear. "Stop that jeon, it hurts" making jungkook coo and rub your butt and he proceeds to pat it, " there you go all better or do u want me to kiss it better?"
"Talk to me when your hard on is gone", you say.
Jungkook sighs and lifts your head and slides it onto his arm, as a pillow and hugs your waist from behind. "What are you doing" , "spooning my baby, what can I do when my girlfriends being all cute and sexy, ofcourse I'm gonna get hard" you blush as you feel his hard on on your back.
You turn around in his arm and wrap your arms around his neck, making him wrap his arms around your waist, you both smile at each other and you slowly inch closer, you feel his breath on you're lips and you pull him closer and press your lips on his, his hands immediately grip you tighter and pull you closer causing you to whimper. Jungkook groans at that and pushes his tounge inside your mouth roughly and grips your chin to pull you even more closer, making you pull away from the absence of air, whimpering. But you have no time to catch your breath as a pair of lips proceeds to press itself on your lips and jungkooks hand pulls you even more closer, you try pushing him away by his chest, but he doesn't even budge.
"I c-cant breathe m-mphh* resulting in jungkook to finally pull away and giggle.
All this loving peace lasts for a moment until we see an old couple walking up to us yelling about public indecency causing you to freak out and get up and trying to make jungkook get up, "jungkook come on let's run", "baby tf are they gonna do, let them fucking come ill take care of them, don't be scared"
"JUNGKOOK IF YOU DONT GET UP RIGHT NOW I SWEAR IM GONNA CRY" this threat results in jungkook complying as you both hold each others hands and make a run for it as the old couples curses slowly dissappear into thin air and the only thing that's audible is the laughter that vibrates off of your chest, and the pure love you have for each other, at this moment you silently look up at jungkook and admire him and you realize how lucky you are to have a man like him.
"Stop looking at me like that if you don't want me to eat you", "you know what I'm hungry jungkook". After a back and forth argument of where to eat, you both decide to eat at this sushi place, as you told you're boyfriend you've never had sushi.
"Come on baby order anything you want, I'll pay" causing you to giggle "ofc sugar daddy"
"I can be your daddy if you like"
"JUNGKOOK", "I'm sorry"
You regret this, you can't eat it, you feel like throwing up, "it tastes so bad, how do people eat this?" Causing jungkook to act like he was offended "how dare you say that to my baby, she tastes so good, baby you don't have to eat it, order something else If you want"
That night when you had food poisoning, jungkook was the one who held your hair back when you threw up, he was the one who made sure you fell asleep with no discomfort, he made sure to stay awake to ensure you don't wake up in the middle of the night due to discomfort, he was the one who made sure you were warm and comfortable, he was the one who loved you, he was the one who put up with your tantrums, he was the one who let's you cuddle him every night even though he pretends to hate it, he is the one who always offers a shoulder to cry on or put your legs on.

Goodbyes Aren't Always For Long
spawn!Astarion x gn!reader x Halsin
WC: 1,264
TW: SPOILERS FOR ENDING, angst, talk of abandonment, mention to Astarion's past, "Daddy Halsin", not proofread
So I finished my first playthrough of the game yesterday, and I sobbed. Can you guess what I was the most upset about?
I have been wanting to include some of the other companions as background characters, but I'm not sure who to include. Who would you guys like to see in the future?
As always, enjoy!
"This is selfish, Halsin! And that's coming from me!" Astarion hissed, pacing back and forth through the rented room, seeming to be the only one no frozen in place. There was quiet in response to his statement, as the taller elf stood in front of the door, his eyes downcast.
"It isn't though, Astarion." You popped up from your place at the end of the bed, your body too heavy from the news you were processing through.
"It is!" The pale elf yells in your direction, though you can recognize the pain heavier in his voice than the anger. "You wormed your way into our hearts, into our minds, and now that we have the chance to all be together, just us, you turn tail and run!" His words once again turned to Halsin, who just responded with a deep sigh. "We've spent so long worrying about other people, about the world. Now we have the chance to focus on ourselves. Focus on us."
"I've had too many moment of selfishness on this quest so far. I fled from the Grove, twice, when they needed me most. I left poor Thaniel and Oliver when they were at their most vulnerable. I can't turn my back to the thousands of people that need help now." Halsin said, the slight shake in his voice would probably go unnoticed by anyone who didn't know him deeper. "I would give anything to stay with here with you two, to help find some way for you to feel the sun on your skin again, but I can't ignore where I'm truly needed."
"Here! You're truly needed here!" Astarion shouted again, finally taking steps towards the other man. The quiet sound of his name coming from your lips causing him to turn on his heels. "And you! How are you so okay with this?! You brought us together. You lead the three of us headlong into this love, and now you just sit there as it falls to pieces!"
"You think I'm okay with this?!" You finally shout back, standing from the bed. "You think i want to see either of you leave? You think I want us all to be separated after everything I've done for us, for the world?" Your words causing the two pairs of elf eyes to cast down, one in guilt and the other to hide the tears glossing his eyes. "What do you recommend I do in this moment, Astarion? Chain him to the bed and keep him here as some hostage? Keep him where he is obviously unhappy? I figured that if anyone was against that, it would be you!"
The meaning of your last sentence caused him to tense, crossing his arms over his chest as if to protect himself from the memories.
"Everything I did, all the battles we fought, and the people we killed, I did it for everyone to be free to make their own choices. So if either of you want to leave, then leave! I can say over and over how much I want you both here, for you both to be at my side, but if your heart is pulling you somewhere else, then who am I to stop you?" Your eyes shifted to meet Halsin's with a sad smile, mostly inviting him to make his escape if he truly meant to leave.
Astarion stood unusually quiet, his body tensing more and more with each step that sounded behind him as the druid walked to the door. His eyes closing tight as Halsin mentioned his damned Oak Father watching over you both and returning you to him some day before the door clicked closed.
You both stood frozen for a few moments, not really sure what to do with yourselves. The sound of multiple children's calling Halsin's name and running to greet him as he walked outside to meet the wagons that he would be traveling with floating through the window. It drew you over, pushing the curtain aside as you looked down at the people your partner had set off to help. While the sun hadn't quiet crested the horizon, you were still careful not to open the cover too much, not wanting to expose Astarion to any stray rays of the light.
The pair of hands at your sides caused you to lean back into the body behind you as a head rested against your shoulder. "And what shall we do now that 'Daddy Halsin' is off on a new adventure without us?" The two of you couldn't help but giggle at the nickname your partner has been bestowed with.
Your eyes slowly shifted from the large druid as you scanned over the line of wagons full of people. While you were happy that he was off to help people and follow his dream, your heart ached at the feeling like a part of your was missing. That was until it began to race, your spine straightening as an idea struck you.
"That depends, want to make a selfish decision with me?" You asked, quickly turning your head to look at Astarion's confused face.
"Do you know me to turn down selfish decision, Love?" His playful smirk didn't really reach his eyes, which still showed with curiosity to your meaning.
Halsin shushed the children down as he tried his best to herd them back into the wagon that would carry them on their journey, most of their eyes growing heavy from how early the caravan had decided to leave, wanting to be on the road before the sun got up and warmed the path too much. As the wagons began to move forward, his eyes moved to the windows of the room you three had spent the night before, hoping to catch a last glimpse of you and Astarion, not knowing when he would see you two again. To his dismay, the curtains were shut and still.
After hearing a heavy sigh, he began to move on with the wagons. Though he didn't get more than a few steps before a commotion behind him caused him to turn. His lips split into a smile as he watched you running to keep up with Astarion, who was rushing to the shelter of the covered wagon carrying barrels and boxes of food. A deep laugh rumbled in his chest as you bee lined for him, jumping at him and forcing his arms to rush to catch you.
"You didn't really think you would get to run off on a new adventure without us, did you?" Your voice rang out with laughter once he set you down.
"I wouldn't dream of it." The two of you smiled at a moment before he lifted you into the wagon with Astarion, moving to follow behind it.
"Except for the fact that you did dream of it, and you did actually get away for a few minutes." Astarion sassed, earning his a slap to the chest, "What?! He really thought we were gonna let him leave alone for a few minutes there!"
"And they were pure torture without you both." Halsin responded, placing his hand over his heart, "The Oak Father has smiled upon me and made our separation brief."
"Good save, 'Daddy Halsin'." Astarion smirked, sending the larger elf a wink before the three of you fall into laughter. The caravan continued on it's path towards a new life for many of the people in it, and while it probably wouldn't be easy, it definitely paled in comparison to anything the three of you has already been through together.

Feel better now?
Warnings: Angst, mating press, mentions of self-harm, mentions of relapsing, Fem!reader
Pairings: König x fem!Reader
Note: I am not very proud of this one because of my STUPID WRITING!!! but I did end up spending 2-3 hours on this so I’m hoping some people would enjoy it. Mwah love you all 2.3k words!
König felt his chest shrivel up once he saw your pouty lips and half-teary eyes, watching you storm out of the room while he was stumped.
Thinking of ways to apologize to his sweet girl flooded his noggin and he threw his hands out and fell back into his chair almost comically, grumbling and getting back to his paperwork while he tried to push away any other thoughts besides the box of his work. You shoved yourself into the bathroom, rubbing your hands all over your face to try to stop the tears that were making your face feel icky. Thrashing around to find your towel, the water running loudly in the background - the sounds couldn’t compare to how loud your thoughts were.
The shower felt harder that day, the water burning the red lines you inflicted on yourself yesterday.
You sat down on the wet floor, head in your palms as you sobbed, the tears falling from your face entwined with the water and vanished along with it. On your knees you grabbed the shampoo - cleaning yourself should never feel this difficult, you’ve grown soft.
Standing up, your body immediately planting itself onto the wall as your knees buckled. Nibbled lips, fingers clasped your mouth. Trying to suppress your gasps and whines. —----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You’ve managed to do your hair and apply lotion to your body, since you’ve fixed yourself - you find that you’re capable enough to make dinner, putting on clothes you just washed, they’re warm and make you feel a bit better. The harm is visible, and you try to forget about it. Too drained to change into other clothes that hide your pink and white scars, busy prodding at your pajama shorts to make them just a little longer, even if it wont make a difference.
Leaving the bathroom you walk into the hallway hoping to see König doing paperwork in his office, or holding out his arms for you. Instead what's in front of you is a closed door, making the air catch in your throat.
The descend down the stairs feels melancholy, you feel as if your brain is off, walking only as if you’re a zombie dedicated to pleasing others. You want to make him happy, make him forget about your previous interaction with the blessing of food.
This week felt like the final straw, constantly trying to please people at your job - you’ve been trying so hard. Nobody was there for you, König looked at you with a face of anger, eyes narrowing yours. Going on about how he has helped you while you try to squeak out your words, and he yelled at you. Piercing and loud, making you tremble as you looked up at him like he had betrayed you. He screamed at himself in his head, scolding himself for lashing out on you. Years of aggression had changed him truly, down to his entire system - he doesn’t know how to respond now.
As soon as your hands touch the stove, you begin shaking, tears running down your face. You couldn’t find the energy in yourself to cook and it made you feel all the more disappointed in yourself, the walls of discipline you’ve built come crashing down.
Nails snuggled firmly into your arms as you sink down onto the floor, hyperventilating in frustration.
You cry into your skin for the umpteenth time, biting into your flesh so the man upstairs doesn’t hear you. Nothing has ever made you feel so useless, and you can't get over that.
A heavy hand on your shoulder makes you jump, interrupting your thoughts. You turn your back slowly, only to see the kindest pair of sleepy eyes looking back at your manic ones. Your eyelids shut tight, hands finding his shirt and pulling him in. “M’ so sorry..” It’s muffled into his shoulder and he pats your back, hands resting at your hips. He shushes you gently, eyes scanning over the numerous scars on your legs that looked almost too fresh - and he swore his heart paused for a second. König punches himself in the head mentally once again, biting his lip. “Not your fault..I shouldn’t have yelled. Shouldn’t have taken my anger out on you.”
Your face digs itself into the small dip between his neck and shoulder, sobbing even harder - gasping for air between them. And he feels like a monster at this point.. “I’m sorry, mein Liebling, don’t waste all your tears on me.” König brings you in even closer, landing sloppy kisses to your forehead and cheeks. "I was wrong, never cry for me like that." He says, reassuring you in a stronger voice, yet it remains soft. König mumbles something under his breath, like he cursed himself forever, never to let you cry over something he failed to do - control his emotions around you.
You grab onto his jaw with need, locking lips with him in vast movements, and he lets it happen. Letting your tongue win the fight for dominance, hand gently resting at the back of your skull, the salty tang of your lips stimulating his organ of taste. But he couldn't care less.
Hums vibrate into your mouth pleasantly, he taps your back to let you know when he needs to breathe.
The kiss is broken after only his lungs start to burn for air, you’re still hungry for more of it. His breathing is heavy as he claws at the soft skin under your shirt, massaging your lower back and pulling you even closer to his warmth, pleasantly surprised at your actions. “Need more-” You hiccupped, mouth-agape with feeble sounds. “Please.”
“More of what? Tell me.”
“Want more of you- Need you.” You confess, and his heart cinches from its beat. Almost seizes to continue at the sight.
He simply nods, picking you up by your waist and putting you up against him - not where you're flat against his chest, holstered up enough so he can kiss your tummy, electrifying butterflies filling your abdomen. König plops you down on the bed, as gentle as he can possibly be - you look like glass to him right now as your legs hang off the side of the bed, you're sitting on the edge of it as he lowers himself.
He’s right in front of you, crouched. He’s kissing your thighs all over, strings of apologies you can’t hear when he runs along one of your scars. “Can I please.. I want to show you how sorry I am.” You know what he’s implying when his eyes drift down to your pussy, clothed but getting absolutely drenched underneath.
“Yes.. please.” A simple sniffle and he’s making snail work of your shorts with little kisses, pulling them off along with your panties. He’s purposely taking it slow with you, testing the waters.
Successfully spreading your thighs, he salivates. One look at your perfekt swollen clit and he’s down on his knees, offering one long lick to the slick heavenly gates. “So good.” He groans, now flicking your bead with his tongue in vast motions - and you mewl out, high pitched and needy. He’s so good at eating your pussy, wrapping his lips around the whole thing once he made you sensitive for it. “König..” A pule of his name leaves your lips, sending blood straight to his cock once again.
You gasp once you realize he’s rolling your hips onto his tongue, making you fuck yourself on his tongue with his hands. “Holy fuck-” Your toes curl, biting your bottom lip. The changes between flicking his tongue and sucking all feed into your upbuilding orgasm.
“König!” He stops abruptly at the last squeal of his name, right at the moment you felt yourself coming undone.
Standing at his full height you pout up at him. “I’m sorry- please, can’t let you cum yet. Need to show you.” He repeats, almost defeatedly, like he wants to fulfill your needs now.
König pulls down his pajama pants down to his ankles, before he positions himself in front of spread legs. Rubbing his tip against your clit, prodding against it deliberately. Making you sob, kick your feet against his back needily. “Uhuh. None of that, you’ll get what you want in a second.” Gentle, affirming.
“Gonna slip this in, slowly. You got that?” He affirms with you, and you're nodding your head urgently. It makes him chuckle, how pliant and needy you are.
You throw your head back once you feel his stretch, a wince passing through your lips. "Er nimmt es so gut auf.." He praises with a moan, a hand gently caressing your collarbone from where he stands.
He’s trying to distract you from the feel of his cock spreading you open, you’ve tightened up so much since the last time.
He finally gets the whole meat slab in with a plap, and you let out a sigh of relief. He finds it really cute, how you struggle beneath it. “You’ve got it.. Good girl, the best.” He dances his hips into yours, balls flat against your ass. “Made for my cock.” “So deep..” Your thighs tighten around him, begging him to start a pace already - the torture of slow, deep thrusts. “Hah- fuck.. Too slow Köni..” Ugh, you’re so fucking cute. Stop it. It’s taking enough of his willpower to not fuck you right into this bed.
“H-Harder..” König chuckles, grinning at how feverish you are. “Dirty girl.” Your knees are then pressed next to your ears, he’s putting you in some sort of mating press - making you swallow in anticipation, a little fear maybe. This position makes him feel deeper than ever, you’re clenching around him.
He swallows. “This is what you want? You can take it?” He doesn’t relent his rolls into you, like this is a casual interaction. “Yes- fuck- Please!” You beg and he immediately complies, making you jump up with every thrust of him into you, heavy balls slapping right against you. “You like this? He doesn’t even need to have you answer, your mewls are speaking for you.
As soon as he gets you where he wants, a hard thrust is battered into you - making you cry out at the sheer force of it. He’s not cruel though, bending down so you could hold onto his shoulders. He gulps, adams apple bobbing. “This is what you wanted? Tell me, please.” He needs to get confirmation from you, eyes scanning over your face for any signs of discomfort. “Keep going.” You take his breath away, good girl. Taking all of this cock.
He bites his lip, denting your can roughly - the smacking of your skin is loud and sinful. His hands lay planted on your ankles, driving into you like a two dollar whore.
Broken moans escape your mouth as you constantly feel his dick ram against your cervix. ”Gonna show you how sorry I am.” Your body tensed up as you felt your orgasm approaching humiliatingly quick. Your legs tried to kick at something, but that's impossible with them suspended in the air, unable to move.
He just wont stop thrusting either, watching you try to form a sentence underneath him.
Waves of pleasure incinerate through your body, burning your insides with ecstasy and heat. The constant sliding of his shaft against your walls doesn't help it either, he's changed the angle which his dick hits to where its constantly drubbing your g-spot.
"Good- good pussy. I'm' hitting that pillowy spot." He laughs, orgasmic yet a little bit deranged in the middle of sex.
You gasp out, feeling a string in your stomach get unbearably thin. Your pussy clenches, it’s slightly nauseating from how tightly you’ve clamped. He moans, back arching from the feel of you squeezing him dangerously tight. “Fuck yeah, cum for me. Cum for me.. Ja..!” His head is thrown back, lost in just you completely.
The coil finally snaps and you squeal, your juices coming out squelching and running down your ass. You’re drooling, lips coated in saliva. And he just wants to clean up all of that with his kisses, connect your saliva together.
"Ah! König!" You yelp, vision turning white as overwhelming waves of bliss start hitting you like a truck.
Your toes uncurled once you’ve gotten off your high, signs of it still lingering around in your stomach - feels like your pussy is beating as fast and hard as your heart.
But you can’t forget, he’s looking for his release as well. Mouth open and panting above you like a mutt. His moans announce his upcoming orgasm while rutting into your sensitive pussy like a bitch in heat. Your hand comes up to his chest to try and get his pace to relent - but it’s not possible to push past a brick wall. You’ve already started sobbing at this point from the overstimulation, mewls for König to be gentler goes in from one ear out from the other. Or if he can even hear you.
With the clenching of your snatch he's throwing his head back with a broken moan. "Hng-auh..! It's been so long since he's had good pussy like yours, and you best believe he's enjoying himself.
A rumbling deep inside of him, lingers of an upcoming orgasm taking over his well-mannered self. Now his hands have moved up to your ankles, putting himself in a plank and pounding so hard you think you'd die.
König's trying to match your moans like an orchestral performance, seemingly like he's mocking you, yet it's full of honesty and neediness. "Close hmng- yes.. fuck m-" He announces before cutting himself off unplanned, spurting into your storage room with his buttocks clenched forwards to push semen further into you.
The mongrel of the house squeezing your ankles with a sob once he feels his high hit him like it did yours, keeping his shaft nestled in you while he finds himself in ecstasy - unknowing of your suffering from overstimulation beneath him. Beaten and battered pussy.
He doesn’t notice your trembling body underneath him till he hears you let out a feeble sound of his name. Looking down to your shaking legs, thighs covered in your splattered juices. And by god, are you a sight.
“No more..” You mumbled, unable to coherently speak to him anymore. He pulls out of you, a small squelch being heard from how good he's spread you out. "Ja, won't fuck you anymore." He gravely snickered, letting your legs down from the sore position they were in.
König practically purrs out his praises, running his hands up and down your body. “Let’s get you to the bathroom now, a bath?” He suggests, your ears perk up at the sound of a warm bath surrounding your achy body.
Bonus ;)

Second Chances

2 - Lonely Purpose
Purple seeks out a new purpose in the wake of his mother's passing and makes a new life in the world of Minecraft. Through it, he ends up crossing paths with a group of stick figures in need. Content Warnings: Character death, grieving, canon typical violence
Purple returned to the city to bury Orchid. There was no body to bury, but a grave was something Orchid requested in her end-of-life plan, and Purple would honor her last requests.
It didn’t change the hollow feeling he had standing before her grave. He had cried all of yesterday, and his eyes felt raw and painful, but he couldn’t summon any more tears. So he simply stewed in his emptiness.
He was the only one there for her funeral.
I mean, of course he wouldn’t show up, Purple thought. I should be glad to not see him… it would just be awkward. As if he cares that his ex-spouse is gone.
The lawyer reached out to Navy regarding the death. Navy should have learned of Orchid’s passing and Purple’s destitution. But of course how could one reach someone who left without any contact for over a year? Purple would be a fool to hope to see him here.
So, why was he so upset that Navy failed to show?
I can’t be here, Purple turned away, the numbness turning into an unexpectedly painful vise in his chest. He left his mother’s grave and the cemetery behind as quickly as he could, bolting down the sidewalk until he had no energy left to run.
He leaned against a wall, watching as stick figures passed by with faded interest. He stood as still as a statue, watching passerbys go into the stores. There were parents holding little kids by their hands, groups of friends chatting close to each other, lovers holding hands and laughing...
Everyone was lively and moving around like usual. The day was bright and sunny, birds were chirping. As if this wasn’t the worst day of Purple’s life.
A group of teenagers passed by him. When Purple watched them, he recognized all of them as old friends from school. All but one. A tall, lanky orange hollow head towered over them and chatted with arms waving animatedly. Their eyes briefly met Purple’s and for a split, terrifying second, Purple thought they were going to try to rope him into small talk.
But they didn’t, they just waved and continued walking with their group. A couple of others looked back at Purple, and Purple tried not to notice their confused and judging gazes. The teens turned a corner, but Purple caught his name whispered among them.
“Hold on, was that Purple back there?”
With heavy limbs, Purple followed behind them. He moved silently, trying to be discreet in the fact he was following them.
It has been five months since I dropped out, Purple realized. It had to be summer break now.
“Do you know them, Peri?” The orange hollow head asked.
“Yeah, he disappeared before you transferred in, Second,” the stick figure Purple knew as Periwinkle said. “He was in my financial elective...”
“And he was a total scumbag,” a dark violet stick figure jumped in.
“Saffron,” Periwinkle admonished.
“What? It’s true!” The oddly named Saffron said. Purple recalled her brazenness. She was Periwinkle’s annoying younger sister and highly protective of her softhearted brother. Any slight against him, no matter how small, earned her ire.
“What did Purple do?” Second asked.
“Ah, Purple is someone you wouldn’t want to get close to,” added a brown stick figure beside them. “He acts friendly at first, gives gifts to buy your affection. But he’s highly controlling. The moment you don’t do what he wants or if you inconvenience him, he dumps you and goes after the next sucker.”
Chestnut… Purple grimaced at his ex-friend’s bitterness. He lagged behind, increasing the distance between them.
“I think that’s being a little bit uncharitable,” Periwinkle added, “I think he really admired you, Chestnut.”
“Ugh, don’t even joke about that, Peri?” Chestnut said, punching Periwinkle in the arm. Her disgust was hard not to hear from this distance.
“Why are you even defending him? Do I need to remind you how Purple borrowed your prized umbrella?” Saffron said, “and you never got it back even after asking about it?”
“I never forgot that…” Periwinkle nodded, and Purple saw his shoulders slump. “Gosh, it still hurts to think about it. I spent so much money getting that, it was one of a kind.”
“Exactly! And now it’s gone because of him! You’re being too nice!”
Second, sensing that their friend group was getting agitated, coughed in their hands.
“Anyways, I asked Mango this morning, and he said I can go to the arcade with you all!”
Saffron pumped her hands in the air while Periwinkle clapped. “Awesome!”
“Yeah, enough about Purple,” Chestnut said, not leaving much alone, slinging her arm around Second’s shoulders. “Be grateful you never met him. He’d be horrible to you too.”
“Chestnut,” Second scolded.
“Sorry, I’ll stop,” Chestnut finished.
Then they chatted about arcade games. Purple didn’t catch anything else as he stopped in his tracks, watching as the group retreated. He couldn't stand to listen anymore as he felt like he was close to decking one of them.
Why… was the whole school glad I was gone for months? Purple thought, clenching his fists. Was I really that awful to you?
He and Chestnut certainly had a falling out, but he swore his attempts at being her friend were genuine. Complimenting and giving gifts- how else was he supposed to make friends? It wasn’t his fault they had incompatible personalities! Not everyone can be so blaisé about everything! Was it a crime to expand his social circle?
Not like those sticks liked me for long… Purple thought, recalling how he fell out of that clique faster than he did with Chestnut.
Periwinkle was nice; Purple did intend to only borrow the umbrella since he had none that rainy day. But of course, with his horrid luck, he ended up breaking it on the way home and feared how Periwinkle would react. How was he supposed to know that it was a special one of a kind?
Stupid idiot’s too obsessive over umbrellas, Purple grinded his teeth. If he and his sister blow a gasket over a lost umbrella of all things, then no sane person should deal with them!
He felt raw and scratched, scoured by their claws. How he hated them. Truly hated them all. Especially that Second kid- what a stupid name. While he didn’t know anything about them, he hated how the three people who he couldn’t befriend clung to them so easily. He hated how Second had to only look at him to ruin his horrible day even further. He hated that they had some parent to come home to after fun at the arcade with friends while Purple was all alone.
I hate you! Purple thought with bared teeth. I hope you all suffer like I did! Hope your days are as rotten and horrid as mine!
I hate all of you!
=
Alana reminded Purple that he could stay on the desktop for as long as he liked. That arrangement worked out for Purple because he had no reason to leave the computer. He didn’t want to return to school, and he had no desire to find a job and be a cog in some miserable system in the city. On the desktop, he had more freedom to do what he wanted.
And he just wanted to lie in his bed and wallow in his sadness.
He let the grief drape over him. It made his limbs heavy as lead and turned his mind to static. Food and activities were bland; he had no desire to do much of anything. Aside from Alana, there wasn’t anyone checking on him. He had no idea where the villager caretaker went or if they were somehow deleted, but he couldn’t even begin to care.
How odd it felt to be purposeless. How the drive and desperation to find a cure for his mother vanished with her body, leaving behind exhaustion and nothingness.
The only time he felt anything other than despair was when he dreamed. The dreams were both cruel and relieving. He dreamt of being a prince in a grand castle. His mother and friends were there in that castle to greet him and go on fun adventures. Waking was painful, as it brought those sweet dreams to an end and dumped him back to the cold, lonely reality. The more he slept, the longer the dreams went and more intense the pain of waking became.
I wish I could stay in my dreams…
But then one night, they changed. Instead of continuing the fantasy, he dreamt he was in a void. A light shone above, with pink petals floating down around him.
Orchid petals? Purple thought, holding a hand out to catch a petal. Mom?
Instinctively he looked around, trying to find Orchid in the pitch dark, only to flinch when he saw Navy standing before him in the gloom.
“Why are you here?” Purple raised hands up defensively. He had not dreamt of his father once in his fantasy world. It was as if he was banished from his dreams.
Yet Navy stood before him, staring. The stare was all too familiar, that cold, guarded stare before he walked out of Orchid and Purple’s life.
“What?” Purple demanded, “what do you want? What right do you have to judge me?”
Navy said nothing. He should have said something by now.
“Be gone with you!” Purple waved, “Do what you always do and just leave me already!”
To that, Navy’s gave a disappointed sigh.
“You can’t even keep your promises,” he said, “that’s it, I guess. I’m leaving.”
He turned and walked away into the void.
“What?” Purple never recalled him saying that before. He didn’t understand. “Wait!” Purple took a step forward. “What do you mean by that? Answer me!”
Navy kept walking; Purple couldn’t catch up. Despite telling him to leave, he still chased after his father.
What promise am I breaking?
When Purple awoke, he remembered his mother’s dying breath: she’d asked for Purple to take care of himself.
Sleeping in bed, shutting myself from the world, Purple’s heart hammered. I’m not keeping to that promise.
And he loathed that a dream version of Navy could be right!
For the first time since he left his mother’s grave, the drive fueled him. He thought he lost it to grief. That dream, his father’s words criticizing his ineptitude, gave him something for his churning anger to sharpen itself against.
I’ll take care of myself, he thought, no, I’ll do better, I will thrive. He’d prove his father, those teens, and everyone who ever doubted and looked down on little Purple wrong!
He would be great.
Purple crawled out of bed. His muscles protested at the exertion he was unused to after months of laying around. He forced himself to hold his head high.
“How about…” Purple said as he spotted the remains of his and Orchid’s castle. “I finish that castle of mine.”
=
Purple wanted to play Minecraft legitimately. No cheats, no spawning things. He was going in to play like any other player. He had a new goal for his playthrough. He aimed to become a true king of Minecraft.
He started with only the essentials and got to mining. He had his basic goals set for making his kingdom: get enough cobblestone and wood to build his castle and starting houses, locate some villagers, and… well he hadn’t figured out step three yet, but the first two were going to be huge.
There were enemies. Fighting them wasn’t as bad as Purple initially feared. If anything, felling the zombies, creepers, and skeletons, then the tougher ghasts, endermen, and wither skeletons, made Purple feel powerful. All those rusted fighting skills he neglected were sharpening and, for once, he enjoyed the combat. With the right equipment and enchantments, enemy encounters hardly concerned him.
He found some zombie villagers too and, desiring to build a village the proper way, successfully escorted and cured those zombie villagers. And, oh, how he was praised for his heroics! The cured villagers bowed to him as their savior, Lord Purple!
Not the pathetic Purple I was before now, huh? Purple thought, puffing his chest in pride.
But the joy never lasted. The glory he got from fighting turned dull as the enemies were no match for his sword. The villagers had children. Seeing happy little kids running around while their happy parents watched, filled Purple’s hollow heart with venom. Their praise towards his greatness suddenly felt shallow and fake, especially knowing how much he loathed to see them prosper when he still felt horrible.
It didn’t help that the next day, all those kids grew into adults. The very sight of this rapid aging caused Purple to retreat into his castle and remain there for three days. He glared at the wall, unable to sleep and failing to calm himself down. Once again, all the motivation deserted him, and a part of him wanted to burn this fake village and false castle to the ground.
“Why?” He asked a portrait of a bizarre wither skull formation, “why is it that I’ve accomplished so much more than I did in school, and I still feel this way?”
The skull painting did not answer, but Purple suspected it knew fully well why.
Purple imagined his mother telling him that he was pushing himself too hard, but the thoughts of her words just made him curl further in a miserable ball. How could he enjoy even the false, temporary victories of a game when she wasn't there to see them?
Only Navy’s words spurred Purple out of his funk on the third day when he fell asleep. You can’t even keep your promises...
“Right. Castle and village is done. I need a new goal,” he said and eyed the skull painting. It was such a peculiar piece that he wondered if it was a hint that if he made something like that he’d summon something like an iron golem. Something evil.
If so, if I make this and defend the village from this beast, Purple thought, then I’d be a legend to them!
Plus, he’d like a challenging fight for once. Time to visit the nether and grab some skulls.
=
“Ugh, finally!” Purple said as he successfully pried the third wither skeleton’s skull off and it didn’t disintegrate to ash. “I swear, hunting for skulls is such a pain.”
But he finally got three skulls and the soul sand. He was done with his nether trip. Time to head back and figure out what he’d summon-
Bang! Bang!
The nether caverns echoed with the sound of rhythmic thumping. Purple felt the walls around him tremble as the thumping grew louder and louder. He looked around, clutching the wither skull to his chest, as he tried to find the source of the noise.
“The hell is going on?” Purple gasped.
Suddenly, there was a scream. Purple only had a split second to turn towards that scream before a stick figure dressed in armor landed right on top of him and knocked him to the ground.
“Yeouch!” Purple wheezed. His health went down to half from the impact, and he shoved the stick figure off of him. Before he could get a good look at them, more screams were heard, and additional stick figures landed next to him, narrowly missing his battered body.
Why is it raining stick figures?! Purple looked bewildered between the group of stick figures. The green, blue, and yellow stick figures lay on the ground, their health at half a heart. The blue and yellow sticks were dazed, diamond armor shattered to pieces around them, while the green stick figure only had a cracked diamond helmet left.
The green one was moving, able to rise up because his fall was cushioned by landing right on Purple. He coughed, pushing himself on shaky arms and legs.
“Yellow? Blue? You-” he paused when his gaze met Purple’s. “-alive?”
Purple stared back and, unable to think of a better response, waved.
The stick figure, he presumed named Green given the naming convention, waved back. “Um, hi?”
Bang! Bang!
Purple and Green looked up at the ceiling where the noise came from. In the gloom, Purple could make out the stick figure shaped holes they fell through. A fine layer of dust fell from above.
“I take it you didn’t mine straight down,” Purple mumbled.
“Oh no!” Green forced himself up and ran to shake Blue and Yellow violently. “We don’t have time! Come on, get up!”
“What’s going on?” Purple asked, shouting over the thumping.
“Um, it’s a bit of a long story!” Green yelled back as he lifted Blue to her feet. She was waking, as was Yellow, but neither of them were in any good condition to stand for long.
“Condense it then!” Purple pulled out a potion of healing and threw it on them. The cloud restored their health to full instantly. The three stick figures leapt up, looking at their now healed bodies in shock.
“Woah! How did you do that?” Blue asked.
“Not now,” Purple waved his hands and pointed at the continuous banging above. “What is going on?”
“Ok! We found this game icon on our desktop!” Green explained, pulling out a sword. The tip cracked apart and caused him to pause as he tried to fix it.
“And we were building things with the stuff that came out,” Yellow picked up. They pulled their ax out, only to despair as it crumbled apart too, “taking turns and all that.”
“But when we gave the game icon to Red,” Blue said, staring ruefully at the busted bow in her hands. “She attacked us.”
“Attacked you?” Purple asked.
“Yeah, she wasn’t acting like herself!” Green rushed, “She just went wall eyed and hoarded the icon. We tried to stop her but…”
Bang! Purple heard blocks from above fall to the lava.
“She’s now piloting a giant block stick figure and ended up shoving us down here.” Yellow finished.
“I don’t think we have much time before she follows us here,” Blue added, clutching her head. “Oh, what are we going to do?”
Yeah, that seems like your problem, Purple thought, heart hammering wildly. He wanted a fight earlier, but given the sounds of what was coming, he opted to flee. He turned about to run before Green snatched his arm.
“Let go of me!”
“Please! You don’t have to fight for us, but we don’t have weapons or armor!” Green said. He clasped his hands together. “Please, can you lend anything?”
“I don’t have any extra swords!” Purple exclaimed. “I barely have enough potions after all the fighting I did!”
Bang! The other stick figures looked nervously at each other, rifling desperately through their belongings and finding little to help, fishing rods, crafting tables, jungle trees…
Yeah, they’re screwed, Purple thought, looking for his way back to the desktop.
“Look, I'm just going to head to the portal,” Purple said, “and if you guys have any sense, you’ll join me! Hopefully, Red will be too big to enter!”
The others looked at each other with mixed expressions, confusion, nervousness, and disdain.
“We can’t do that,” Green said, “she would be stuck here if we did that!”
“And how do you know she couldn’t smash her way through?” Yellow added.
Purple stared at Yellow and found himself glaring when he realized it made too much sense.
Ah! What do I do then? Purple thought, looking down at his wither skull helplessly. But as he stared at the empty eye sockets, Purple found an answer in them.
“Hold on,” he said, “I think I have an idea to help you with your problem.”
=
The plan was half baked given that they only had seconds to execute it. Yellow and Green set it up so they were ready to lure Red to the nether fortress while Purple and Blue made the wither skull statue.
Red came down from above and the very sight of the behemoth in obsidian blocks was almost enough for Purple to return to his “let’s flee to my village” idea.
“So, you are sure this thing we're summoning will be enough against her?” Blue asked.
Purple nodded even though he hadn’t a clue if the summoning would even work. “When we see their signal, just put down the last wither skull.”
Blue bit her lip, glancing from the obsidian stick figure chasing down Green, back to Purple.
“Is there a risk it would kill her?”
Purple blinked. “Aren't you trying to fight her?”
“Fight her, yes, not kill her!” Purple could see a glossy sheen form in Blue’s eyes. “I don’t know what will happen if she dies here.”
“She’ll respawn at her last checkpoint,” Purple said, but his stomach clenched. Assuming you have a respawn point set to begin with.
That didn’t give her any relief. Blue wordlessly sniffed and wiped her eyes.
In the distance, Purple saw the fishing rods fly and snag the head of the obsidian tower. “Ok, now!”
Blue placed the last head down. Upon doing so the statue turned into a three headed skeleton that let out a horrific howl. It glowed blue and was blinking rapidly.
Oh no…
“Uh, what do we do now?” Blue asked.
“Run!” Purple yelled, grabbing Blue by the hand and running away from the fortress. He cupped his hands and shouted at Yellow and Green. “Run!”
They could hardly react to the warning before a thunderous kaboom sounded behind Blue and Purple. The Wither was airborne, screeching and hurling hissing skulls right at them with wild abandon.
This is dumb! This is so dumb! Purple thought as he and the others scattered to dodge the projectiles. Why did I think summoning a giant enemy to fight another giant enemy was a good idea?!
The Wither did not discriminate. It targeted the stick figures as well as the obsidian figure. Its skulls landed right on the head and exploded it to bits. The explosion sent the red stick figure inside flying across the Nether.
Ah, I’m glad I didn’t summon that thing by my village! Purple thought. That thing is tearing through obsidian like tissue paper!
Blue raced down the walkway and held out her arms to catch Red before she landed. Yellow jumped from a ledge above to snatch the Minecraft icon that was knocked out of Red’s hands.
Despite receiving a skull missile to the face, Red was alive and kicking. She wasted no time in kicking Blue’s hold off of her and tearing after Yellow. Her expression was flat, yet her movements feral. She twitched and then lunged at Yellow, clasping at their leg. They fell to the ground with a thud and tossed the Minecraft icon further down the path.
“Oh, come on!” Purple lunged down and snatched the icon. Turning around, he saw the Wither gaining, and, in panic, he held the Minecraft icon. He visualized something stronger than obsidian, and, out from the icon, he blocked the attack with a wall of bedrock.
He protected the group of wrestling stick figures from the impact, yet his action only earned Red’s attention. Locking her fixed expression on him, she let go of Yellow and charged at Purple.
“Ah! Green, catch!” Purple tossed it just as Red pounced on his back. “Get to the portal!”
Green caught it, and started running, using his fishing rod to move across the Nether’s gaps with ease. Red, no longer interested in Purple, raced after Green. She nearly closed the gap between them with her inhumane speed, only for her to be hit down by a skull volley from the Wither above.
“Red!” Yellow and Blue exclaimed, racing to her pick her up. Even injured critically, she continued to wrestle against them, eyes locked solely on Green and the Minecraft icon.
How is she not even down? Purple thought, smacking the Wither’s volleys back as Blue and Yellow dithered.
“Come on! Leave her and get out of here!” Purple yelled.
“But-“
“No buts!” Purple turned and shoved the three over, pinning Red down to the ground. “To the portal now!”
It took a stern look and the Wither’s fast approach to cause the two to run off. Not like Purple could hold Red down long enough, as she shucked Purple off and raced after them.
I can’t let her attack my village! He thought as he ran in pursuit. He lunged his sword at her, narrowly missing her back.
“Stop! Don't kill her!” Green shouted.
Of course that idiot waited by the portal! Stunned by his stupidity, Purple wasn’t ready for Red’s quick roundhouse kick to the hand. His enchanted sword clattered far away from him, and Red ran towards the stick figures just waiting by the portal.
“No! Stop!” Purple abandoned his sword, equally as stupid as Green. “Get in the portal! Hurry!”
So many things occurred at once- Red collided into her friends, knocking them into the portal frame; Purple bowled into her back, which shoved the group through it; and as they entered, the Wither hit the portal, closing it completely behind them.
The group fell sprawling on the desktop, gasping and grunting. Purple clutched his head, wincing at the sharp pain of hitting the ground. Before him, Green, Blue, and Yellow were slowly getting up. Green held the icon. It was shuddering in his hands, glowing a bright white before suddenly fading, as if the portal did something to it.
Red lay limp on the ground. Then suddenly she jerked and writhed. A translucent outline of a Steve player avatar leapt out of her repeatedly before finally falling to the ground. As it let out a dying breath, Purple caught sight of its dead, white eyes before it poofed away.
Red was limp once more. The other three looked at her, expecting her to get up, but she remained still on the ground. They dropped the items they carried and crowded around her. Blue lifted her head up.
“Red? Red!” Blue jostled the stick figure.
“Come on, speak to us!” Green begged. Purple felt something form in his throat at the familiarity of his desperation.
“What’s happening to her health?” Yellow gasped as they held her hand.
Indeed, all the hearts of Red’s health turned black and were ticking down. An effect called “withering” was applied on her.
It’s going to kill her! Purple realized and whistled loudly. The sound spooked the three grieving stick figures, but not as much as the sudden crowd of villagers appearing out of nearby houses did.
“Lord Purple? You’re back?”
“I need a bucket of milk, stat!” Purple hollered and clapped. “Don’t waste time! A stick’s dying here!”
And no time was wasted. The villagers were quick to mobilize and toss a milk bucket to Purple. He snatched it and quickly tossed it to Blue.
“Feed it to her!” Purple quickly exclaimed, “It’ll cure her ailment.”
Confusion gone, Blue brought the bucket to Red’s lips. Indeed, the milk stopped Red’s decaying heart meter just in the nick of time. With only half a heart left, the withering effect faded, and Red let out a shuddering cough.
“G-guys?” She croaked out.
“Red? Is it really you?” Yellow asked.
“Um, yeah,” Red looked around, dazed and then pained, “I’m so sorry for what I did…”
“Shh, no, no,” Blue hushed before pulling her into a hug. Green and Yellow also wrapped their arms around the two.
“I thought we’d lose you…” Green said, muffled.
Purple watched from the sidelines as the four hugged each other. He watched until his heart couldn’t bear the sight of it.
How lucky they are.
“You’ll have to share how you saved these folks,” a villager said as they stood next to him.
“Yeah…” Purple couldn’t meet their eyes, “maybe later.”
He did a good deed, a brave one even! And yet he still felt horrid.
If only milk could cure a heartache too.

runaway - bucky barnes au! (one shot! series)
warnings: angst!!!!!; little backstory and a little surprise??
parti i and ii: out of time; as it was
I remember the day it happened as if it were yesterday, the years not having drifted by and drained every emotion from my heart.
How foolish of me to think I ever stood a chance against the most powerful woman in the Kingdom. To go against the Queen meant meeting your doom. My love for her son, for Bucky, had blindsided me. It made me believe that she would understand, maybe not at first, but surely, if she saw how happy we were, she would do her best to respect her son’s wishes.
I was wrong.
Royalty loves their power and their choices more than they could ever love someone else. There’s no space for understanding, for caring. Everyone is a pawn in their game, and if you become a threat, you’ll be dealt with.
The day it happened, Bucky and I stole moments together in hidden corners, weaving dreams of a future where love conquered all. Little did we know that our happiness hung by the thinnest thread, a thread that would soon be violently severed.
It was during a lavish royal banquet that the Queen's displeasure was unveiled. The grand hall echoed with laughter and music; the air filled with the aroma of delicacies. Bucky and I exchanged stolen glances across the room, oblivious to the storm that was brewing.
How did I not see it?
As the night wore on, the Queen's icy gaze found its way to me. Her piercing eyes bore into my soul, stripping away the illusion of safety I had built.
She knew.
My heart sank as I realized I was no longer a dirty secret kept between the walls of the castle.
“Tell me, girl,” her voice haunts me to this day, even after her passing, “How long have you known?”
My eyes darted quickly in her direction, seeking to escape whatever punishment I knew she was about to bestow on me. “I’m—My sincerest apologies, my queen, I don’t know—”
“Surely, you’ve realized you’re with child?”
Her words hung in the air like a heavy fog, thick with a mix of shock and terror. The revelation struck me like a thunderbolt, leaving me momentarily paralyzed. My hand instinctively moved to my stomach, as if to shield the secret growing within me. The truth was laid bare, and the Queen's sharp eyes seemed to pierce through the layers of my being.
“I understand your education is…appalling. But surely, you’ve noticed your lack of monthly bleedings.”
I stammered, trying to find the right words that could soften the blow of this revelation, “I don’t understand—”
With a deliberate step, the Queen descended from the elevated platform and approached me, her royal gown trailing behind her like a river of silk. The weight of her disapproval bore down on me.
"Your naivety is astonishing," she hissed, her voice a low, venomous whisper. "You will deny that child belongs to my son as well?”
I could feel tears welling up in my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. The Queen circled around me like a predator closing in on its prey.
I summoned whatever courage I could muster, standing tall despite the storm of emotions raging within me. "Your Majesty, my love is genuine. I never intended to disgrace the kingdom or your family. Bucky and I—we simply wanted to be together."
The Queen's cold laughter filled the hall, sending shivers down my spine. "Love?! You dare speak of love? You believe you’re special.”
“I don’t—”
“But you do! Look at yourself, girl, you dare to think my son would ever love a commoner such as yourself? You can barely write your name, let alone rule a Kingdom.”
The Queen's words were like a harsh wind that threatened to extinguish the flickering flame of hope within me. I felt the weight of her scrutiny, a heavy burden that threatened to crush me under its enormity.
“Any man is easily fooled by a pretty face and a pair of legs. James, as smart as he is, is still a man at the end of the day, is he not?”
I felt the hot sting behind my eyes, my breath caught in my chest. My shoulders trembled slightly, a subtle sign of the emotional turmoil within. Determination etched across my face, I fought valiantly to hold back the tears threatening to spill. My jaw tightened, and I blinked rapidly as if trying to push the emotions away. “Your son is a good man.”
“Yes, but he is only just a man. Not very smart creatures, are they? So easily played, so gullible, yet so… treacherous. You cannot possibly think you were the only girl in his bed.”
I knew his heart better than anyone; Bucky would have never hurt me. If there was one simple thing I was certain of, it was him.
"Your Majesty, please," I implored, desperation seeping into my voice. "If it's punishment you seek, punish me. Banish me from the kingdom, but spare the child.”
A cold smile played on the Queen's lips as she continued her circling, the predatory dance of a predator toying with its prey.
"Innocence is a rare commodity in the realm of politics. You, my dear, chose to dance with wolves, and now you must face the consequences."
My mind raced, desperately searching for a way to salvage the remnants of my shattered world. “I beg of you, please don’t do this!”
She halted in front of me, her gaze piercing through my defenses. "You will leave this kingdom at sunrise, never to return. Your presence will be erased from our history, and my son will be free to fulfill his destiny without the shackles of your deceit."
Leave? I’d barely left the castle, let alone the kingdom; it was all I ever knew. There was nothing for me outside these walls, no one to guide me or to come to my rescue.
“I have nowhere to go."
“And that is your doing. Your kind is not meant to challenge the order we've established. You’re a stain, a stain I will erase for the sake of the kingdom. If your child meets its death, it will be a deserving ending, better than what I would allow."
A profound sense of isolation engulfed me. The weight of impending exile pressed upon my chest, making it hard to breathe. “Bucky won’t allow this.”
“James will abide by his duty to the kingdom. He’ll have someone warming his chambers by tomorrow night.”
A surge of disbelief and betrayal coursed through me. The Queen's words cut deeper than any blade, and I struggled to comprehend the enormity of the situation. The love we had shared, the dreams we had woven together – all seemed to crumble into dust before my eyes.
"You underestimate the bond between a mother and her son," she continued, her voice dripping with malice. "He will move on, just as the kingdom will, once you are but a distant memory."
The reality of my impending exile and the Queen's ruthless intentions gripped my heart with a vice-like force. “He loves me.”
“He might, but he will certainly not once he learns you gave him up for a better life.”
“You would lie to him?”
A realization struck me like a lightning bolt – my love for Bucky had become a pawn in the Queen's game of power and control. She wielded it like a weapon, ready to sacrifice it for the sake of the kingdom's stability.
My fight wasn't just against her disapproval; it was against the very foundations of a society that deemed love a threat.
“I’d be doing him a favor. He’s currently out on a mission? By the time he comes back, you’ll be long gone.”
Her cruel indifference stung like a thousand needles. I stood there, my world unraveling, as the reality of her manipulation settled in.
A numbness crept over me, replacing the desperate fight with a resigned acceptance of my fate.
"Your Majesty," I spoke, my voice barely above a whisper, "I will leave at sunrise, as you command. But please, spare him the lie. Tell Bucky the truth about why I must go."
The Queen's cold gaze bore into mine, and for a moment, I glimpsed a flicker of satisfaction in her eyes. "You underestimate the power of a well-crafted narrative, my dear. Sometimes, a lie is more potent than the truth. It protects not just the kingdom but also the fragile hearts of those who must bear its burdens."
The truth, it seemed, was a luxury not meant for the likes of me.
She took everything from me that night. And although surviving in the cold, harsh world lying outside those walls almost killed me, it allowed me to protect the most important thing in my life.
My beautiful Becca.

Hamefura BluRay S1 Vol 4 SS
Series: My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! Title / Character: Sophia Source: Anime BluRay S1 Vol 4 Synopsis: Sophia is not afraid of malicious gossip anymore, she sometimes has nostalgic dreams she can't remember, and she works hard so Nicol can marry Katarina one day. Translation: maboroshi-no
I, Sophia Ascart, attended today a tea party that I could hardly refuse since it was held by a family acquaintance.
Unlike long ago when I was confining myself indoors, I had become able to go outside and now, my "different appearance'" was so well-known that people didn't react to it anymore.
Even so, it wasn't like no one reacted anymore. There were still people badmouthing me.
And today, unfortunately, I happened to meet such people for the first time in a while.
Person A: She's just like a demon.
Person B: So eerie.
Person C: We'll get cursed.
They didn't speak to me, but their words uttered so I could hear them pricked my heart.
If I had been my younger self, I might have run away and confined myself in a room. But,
Katarina: Your silky white hair and your sparkling ruby eyes are so beautiful.
Ever since Lady Katarina told me these words when I was nine, I had stopped hanging my head down.
Because I had someone who told me that I was beautiful, that they loved me, I raised my face and faced forward.
That's why today too, I faced forward instead of hanging my head down, and threw out my chest to show them it didn't bother me.
Thanks to Lady Katarina, I became able to do this.
After holding this stance, they grew tired of my lack of reaction and the malicious gossip became smaller.
Still, continuously facing malicious words and eyes after such a long time was hard.
When the tea party ended and I returned to the manor, maybe because I had relaxed my tensed-up mind, I was suddenly hit with fatigue.
My body felt heavy, and while thinking that it wouldn't be good manners, I immediately returned to my room and slipped into bed.
When I lay on the comfortable sheets, while thinking of almost nothing, I fell into a dream.
In a big all-white building, people of about the same age and dressed in the same uniform came and went.
But next to me, there was no one.
I was jealously watching these people happily walking side by side.
I was holding in my hand several of my favorite heart-throbbing books, but somehow, they didn't fill me.
I was lonely, I was sad, and when I hung my head down, tears almost fell. At that moment…
Monkey Girl: Hey, let's go home together.
When I raised my face to the cheerful voice, a girl was extending her hand to me.
While bewildered, the "me" in the dream took her hand.
Acchan: *****
When I called the girl's name, she happily smiled.
When I smiled in response, my chest felt incredibly warm.
When I opened my eyes, there was the ceiling of my familiar room.
I seemed to have slept quite soundly. The morning sun was already shining in through the window.
Yesterday, with something unpleasant happening for the first time in a while, I thought I might have an unpleasant dream, but it appeared to have been an unfounded worry.
Rather, I felt like I had a pleasant nostalgic dream.
Since long ago, I would sometimes have nostalgic dreams like this one, but once I woke up, I would have completely forgotten the content.
Still, I would remember the emotions I had felt during it. There would be "sadness", "loneliness" and some others, but today, it was "joy".
The inside of my chest somehow felt pleasantly warm and I also felt refreshed after waking up.
Maybe because I had plenty of sleep, my tiredness was completely gone.
My unpleasant mood from yesterday had also completely disappeared.
Then, since I had made plans to visit Lady Katarina's home today, I got out of bed, quickly called a maid, and had her help me get ready.
And since I had also promised to bring my recommended books, I packed up several books preselected from the bookshelves.
Hmm~~ For love romances, this many should be fine, right?
The knight in this story was so charming.
And the prince in this story was so romantic and good-looking.
The duke in this one was a gentle person who understood girls' hearts so well. Uuh… They were all so good, it was hard to choose among them.
To be honest, while I had finally overcome my fear of people, I was still far from considering love in reality. Even so, after reading books, there were many things I was yearning for.
I would fantasize about my prince charming appearing one day and extending his hand to me, and I would grin after picturing taking his hand and dancing with him.
After all, there were plenty of charming men in books.
But my top ideal was still Big Brother.
Big Brother was strong, kind, composed, and good-looking. He was more charming than any prince of a story.
And it was because he was so charming that I wished so much that he would marry the one he truly loved and be happy… but there were just too many rivals.
I realized long ago that Big Brother had kept having feelings for my beloved Lady Katarina since childhood.
But because Big Brother was overthinking things and fretting about them, he seemed to be planning on giving up and erasing his feelings, just because Lady Katarina was Prince Geordo's fiancée.
She might be his fiancée but it was a political engagement and absolutely not one where Lady Katarina especially loved Prince Geordo, so I didn't think there would be any problem even if we broke it off.
After all, there were people like Lady Katarina's mother and Lord Keith working hard to break it off.
Luckily, Big Brother still hadn't decided on a fiancée, so he had a chance if Lady Katarina broke her engagement to Prince Geordo.
This was why I was doing my best every day to appeal Big Brother's good points in his place since he had given up.
Today too, I intended to have Big Brother accompany me and convey his good points to Lady Katarina, even if only a little.
Because Big Brother wasn't in the same grade as us in the first place, so he had less contact with Lady Katarina compared to the other rivals.
Though, if it came down to it, Big Brother could use his devilish charm to make Lady Katarina fall madly in love with him.
In a little extreme romance novel I had read lately, it was written that such techniques also existed. I would teach them to Big Brother eventually.
While thinking about this, I prepared a selection of books and took Big Brother along. Now, off to Claes Manor.
Surely, Lady Katarina would welcome us with that lovely smile today too.
Just by imagining it, I could walk looking firmly ahead, without hanging my head down.
And I wished for Lady Katarina to become my sister-in-law one day.
Alright~ For this to happen, today too I would push, push, and push Big Brother to her!

How do you think Na’vi Miles would react when he finds out his fem!so got sexual harassed by one of his teammates (not Lyle I kinda like him) or someone else
Read a book yesterday and something like this happend and now I can’t get it out of my head
Thank you for the request, I won't lie I tapped into some of my own personal experiences with this one. And I will be cautious with writing prompts like this in the future.
Miles Quaritch x Fem/Reader
Warnings: Sexual harassment, Violence. blood. Manhandling. angst.
(Y/N) stepped into the control centre room, paperwork clutched close to her chest. Eyes lowered the ground. She wanted to stay out of sight and out of mind, she wanted to avoid him. She was successful in her mission until Miles entered the room, his voice catching the attention of all that are present.
"(Y/N) there ya are been looking all over for ya" a large smile across his face as he eagerly bounced over to her, steps slapping against the floor. He wasn't stupid he knew something was bothering her. But anytime he prodded she would close up. His only clue was it was worse on the days she worked, so now he was going to tail her. She didn't need to know that. She forced a smile onto her lips trying to ignore the eyes burning into the back of her skull. She hadn't told Quaritch about the wondering eyes, or wayward hands even the leud comments that rolled off his tongue. She knew how he would react and she had been dealing with this her whole life, she knew confronting him would make it worse. She could risk her safety, he was military and she was a scientist. She may know how to dispose of a body but she had no real ability to kill someone, if she spoke up. She didn't know how he would react. That would be if she spoke to a superior, if she defended herself directly he might increase his antics. She was a women, a scientist. She had dealt with narrowminded sexist pigs for over half her life, she knew there was no way she could handle this and end up better for it. So she stayed quiet, and it had been months and he hadn't stopped. "Hey you doing okay?" He draped his arm over her shoulders, leaning in. He made eye contact with one of the new recruit who had been hanging around a bit to much for his liking.
"Mmmh" she mumbled handed her documents to the nearest tech. "Just have a lot to do today, I'll catch you later?" She stepped onto her tippy toes and placed a kiss on his cheek. She slipped out of his grasp and made her way to her next arrand. The lab.
Hours passed, she was examining some epithelial samples from the recoms trying to asses the rate of regeneration within the cells. When she felt a presence in the room with her she looked over her shoulder and saw him standing a few meters away from her.
"Can i help you with something?" Her voice was on the brink of breaking she felt the pressure in her chest building and chill running down her arms
"Oh you know exactly what you can help me with"
"I have no idea what you are talking about, I am very busy." She turned away trying to peacefully prevent the situation from escalating. His steps were fast as he grabbed the handle of her chair turning him to face him. Fear gripped her muscles, anxiety bubbling in her chest. She tried to stay calm but something was different today, he looked at her different. She knew he wasn't going away.
"I saw you today being all slutty with the Colonel, if you spread your legs for that freak you can do it for me too right?" She tried to stand up and walk away but as soon as her back was turned to him he grabbed her waist with one hand, pulling her flush against his back. His other hand reached up and cupped her right breast. "Common, if you fight it'll just make it harder on you" She lifted her right arm jabbing his elbow into his ribs. "You bitch!" He removed his hands from her body but placed one in her hair pulling at the roots.
"LET ME GO" She screamed, her lips becoming hot a tall tale sign heavy tears were about to fall from her eyes.
"Get your dirty hands off my girl" Quaritch had heard her scream, already heading to check in on her he caught the young recruit in the act. He stormed over the younger soldiers hands releasing (Y/N)s hair. Hands in the air.
"It's not what it looks like Colonel" He was smirking, he thought that he could get away with it. (Y/N) ran over to her partner, standing behind him. Hand on his back.
"Common, lets go" She tried to encourage him. He took one look at the tears falling from her eyes and he decided then that he would deal with it himself. He stormed over grabbing the younger man by his shirt.
"It looks like you put your hands on a women, my women" He was seething with rage. "You've been doing this for months haven't you? touching her, hurting her"
"She's been begging for it for months. women like that need to be put in their place." The colonels other hand smashed into the creeps face Holding him in place with the hand on his shirt, he pummelled the guy. Only happy when his knuckles were covered in red blood. Miles dropped the guy to the ground. Leaving him there. He walked over to (Y/N) placing a comforting hand on the small of her back. Leading her out of the room. taking her to the med room just to make sure, even though she insisted that she was fine.
"I'll make sure he's on the next shuttle back to earth tonight. He's not touching you again baby" He placed a tentative kiss on your temple. In that moment you knew that you never had to deal with situations like this again. He would take care of you when you weren't in a position to do it yourself.
To be clear, women are fully capable of taking care of themselves but when sexual harassment takes pace in a working environment it can at times takes someone in a higher position to solve the problem.

Chapter 4: I want to see you right now

Fear of Suicide
Master List | Prev | Next
“Hey, I’m just calling to see if you’re there.” “I know it’s only been a day, but we’re worried about you. “If you see or hear this, please respond.” “I can’t lose you too.”
December 25
A loud ring blared in the early morning, enough to disturb anyone’s slumber. The offending sound ceased as the swipe of a finger answered the phone.
“Hello?” Seungcheol croaked, voice heavy with sleep.
“Heya, Cheol. Sorry I’m calling so early, but did Y/N crash at your place?” It was his best friend's dad, he sounded distressed.
Seungcheol quickly sat up. “No, they didn’t. Did they not come home last night?”
There was a disturbing silence over the line then a loud sigh broke it. “Well have you at least heard from them?”
“No- Have you not talked to them since yesterday?”
“I wouldn’t be calling at five in the morning if I knew where my only child was.”
Another silence blanketed the call. Tension filled the air as panic set in Seungcheol’s mind. He hadn’t heard from his friend since yesterday evening. Quickly he scrolled through his messages, seeing no response to his ‘Merry Christmas’ text he sent out at midnight. They should have seen it yet the message went unread. The bus ride from his friend’s neighborhood to the cafe was thirty minutes at most. Bile began to rise in his throat.
“I’ll be in touch, Cheol. You’ll be the first person I contact if I hear anything.”
Once the call had ended, Seungcheol sat in the quiet of his room, eyes unable to focus on anything. His chest bubbled with an anxious fog and the nausea that accompanied it left a bitter taste in his mouth. His heart raced, adding to the terror that crept up his spine. Frantically he began to scan through his phone, checking all social media, group chats, Discord parties, even Spotify, but each place came up empty.
His hands began to shake as realization hit him.
Did they finally follow through?
The cafe was closed due to it being Christmas. Most of the shops on the block were unlit and empty. Seungcheol sighed as he continued along the sidewalk.
There wasn’t much area to cover. It was a quaint town, the only one relatively close to the neighborhood where his friend lived. The only other place of interest Seungcheol knew of was the bridge. The fairy lights that decorated the structure had been something they spoke about once when they were put up for the holidays.
Seungcheol stood and stared out into the river. There was a distant memory that slowly formed in his mind. No matter how much he tried to shove it away, it surfaced. His friend once mentioned that they believed Seokmin had taken his life here.
It only makes sense. The water is cold and the current is fast. It would be a quick death, maybe even painless. Seokmin didn’t like seeing others in pain. I’m sure he thought the same of himself.
It was a rough couple months when Seokmin was initially proclaimed dead. The situation didn’t exactly evoke positive ideology, but imagining your closest friend committing suicide? It just seemed entirely too grim. Seungcheol had his theories too, some bleak, others not, but Seokmin was fine. He was all smiles and sunshine the day before he went missing. He even proposed traveling to the coast and renting a beach house for New Years.
Seungcheol’s grip tightened on the railing of the bridge, his knuckles turned white and his body shook to fight back the tears. Once again…Christmas had been ruined.
With one last look at the river Seungcheol released his hold on the railing and returned to his car. He dialed up his friend's father.
“Cheol?”
“I’m not going to wait for them to turn up. I’m filing a missing persons report.” He was determined.
There was no point in patiently waiting for a call that would never come.
The report had been filed and so it became a waiting game. The department said they would investigate, but that took time. One of the officer’s said something about the disappearance needing to be ‘deemed suspicious’ before they could send a team out, which meant Seungcheol was to sit around for forty-eight hours doing nothing.
“This is bullshit.” He muttered to himself as he grabbed his coat and headed out again.
The neighborhood where his friend grew up was a close knit community. It used to be a decent plot of farmland, but had been filled up with modern farmhouses and a few suburban homes. Seungcheol knew that if he wanted to find his friend he was going to have to form a search party.
He set out door to door with an old photo of his friend that he kept in his wallet. Thankfully a majority of the people in the neighborhood knew of them and their father. To his surprise, their father was in charge of multiple households’ accounting and the older gentlemen held good standing amongst his neighbors.
It took a few hours, but Seungcheol successfully formed a small search party that consisted of neighborhood friends and his friend’s father. Without much convincing, his own family joined in on the search, knowing that the holiday took no priority over their son’s pain. Each household filled their own vehicles, some heading for town while others went through the neighborhood and the fields surrounding it.
Seungcheol joined the search party in town. He had been on edge ever since he remembered the conversation he had with his childhood friend. The twist in his gut made him fear the worst, but he still held onto hope. He wasn’t going to lose another friend.
The search continued into the evening. Seungcheol cursed the winter season for growing dark so early, yet the lack of sunlight didn’t stop him. By this point, he was skirting the edge of the lake with his older brother, both using up the last of their phones’ battery power by using the flashlights. Neither bothered to speak as they focused on the task at hand, too many unsaid things threatened to throw the younger of the two into a bout of tears.
“Seungcheol-ah!” His brother yelled for him down the river.
Seungcheol wasted no time as he rushed over to his brother. He was near the outskirts of the lake where fallen trees didn’t hinder the strong currents that flowed. The former watched as the other reached for something in the water, his eyes strained to make out what the object was. As he jogged closer, he recognized the bag once he shone light on it.
His heart nearly stopped beating.
“No.” Was the only phrase Seungcheol could mutter.
Tears welled in his eyes, mind plagued with every heart wrenching scenario. He turned away and looked out into the river.
“Y/N!” His voice broke as he screamed. “Y/N, please! Where are you?”
Panic rose as Seungcheol shouted into the dark. He cried as he called out for his friend, not wanting to accept the answers he was dealt. If he accepted the truth it would break him. He would have to admit that he lost another friend to the same fate.
Once again, Christmas had become dull and hollow.
The holiday that was supposed to fill people with joy, became a curse.
Two friends. Two souls. Two loves.
Christmas had stolen the only two people he truly cared about.

33. "Look me in the eyes and tell me what time you went to bed last night. Or if you went to bed, for that matter."
I went a touch angsty with this one again, but nothing too heavy.
As it stands, this is the last prompt I have to do from the list, so I can't promise there'll be anymore daily updates. There's one more in my inbox, but I can't really think of anything to do with it.
So if you want to send a prompt from the list, now's your chance 🥰
If this is my last one, I want to send a massive thank you to everyone who's sent me a prompt over the last two weeks, and to everyone who has commented, reblogged, and liked.
33. “Look me in the eyes and tell me what time you went to bed last night. Or if you went to bed, for that matter.”

“Look me in the eyes and tell me what time you went to bed last night. Or if you went to bed, for that matter.”
Beca breathed out through her nose and crossed her arms across her chest. She didn't answer Chloe, and her eyes remained fixed on the ground.
Her silence was the only answer Chloe needed.
“Okay, how about the last time you ate a decent meal? Or drank something other than coffee?”
Beca finally looked up, and Chloe could tell she was biting the inside of her mouth. “I have to go to work,” she said.
She tried to turn and walk away, but Chloe took hold of her arm. “Beca, I’m not done talking about this.”
“I don’t have time for this right now,” Beca said. “I’m late.”
“You never have time,” Chloe said, following Beca down the hall. “Beca, I can’t keep doing this.”
It felt like something sharp stabbed Beca in her stomach at the sound of those words. It travelled up to her chest, took hold of her heart and squeezed.
When she looked at Chloe she could see tears in her eyes. Not for the first time, she wondered how they got here. How she let it get this bad.
Beca opened her mouth to say something but the anxiety crawling up from her chest had now robbed her of words.
When Chloe realised she wasn’t going to get an answer, she spoke again.
“I need you to take this seriously, Beca. I need you to take me seriously. If you aren’t home by six tonight, ready to talk to me then…” Chloe swallowed, and it took everything she had not to cry. “Then I’ll be at Aubrey’s, and I’ll arrange for someone to come and get the rest of my stuff.”
Beca felt like her whole world was ending as Chloe turned and walked away, but she still couldn’t seem to say anything.
She knew she needed to go to her. She needed to beg for forgiveness and promise to do better. She needed to do something because she was about to lose the best thing that ever happened to her.
But she couldn’t. She couldn’t speak. She couldn’t do anything except what she’s best at, and that’s running away.
She pulled her jacket off the hook by the door, and she went to work.
-
“It’s all hands on deck for the rest of the week,” Beca’s boss said during their morning team meeting. “I suggest you cancel any plans you have tonight, we need everyone here. If you have to eat, do it quickly and do it at your desk. It’s crunch time, and if you still want a job when this is over, I need you to pull your weight! Let’s get to work, people!” He clapped his hands to signal that the meeting is over, and the team started filing out of the room.
Beca hung back, waiting for the last person to leave the room.
“Mitchell, is there a reason you aren’t scurrying back to your computer right now? I need those tracks by, like, yesterday.”
“I, um, I need a favour,” Beca said.
He looked down at his watch. “You’ve got thirty seconds, I need to be on the phone with Tokyo in two minutes.”
“I need to leave early tonight, I-”
“No,” he said. “Anything else?”
“Seriously?” Beca asked.
“What part of all hands didn’t you understand?”
“Look, I haven’t had a day off in weeks. Chloe and I are having problems, and I need-”
“Who?”
“My fiancé,” Beca said, trying not to sound angry.
He let out a snort of laughter and started walking out of the conference room. “Do yourself a favour, and cancel that wedding.”
“If I’m not home tonight then she’s going to do that all by herself,” Beca said, chasing after him.
“Good,” he said. “Less distractions, more work, and before you know it you’ll be the one with the album on the shelves.”
Beca stopped walking and he turned when he realised she wasn’t tailing him anymore.
“You knew the gig when you signed up for it, Mitchell,” he said. “You wanna live your dream, this is the cost. And Chloe either gets it or she doesn’t, and it sounds to me like she doesn’t. Now, are you in or are you out?”
-
Back in their apartment, Chloe was trying to stop crying for long enough to be able to pack her bag.
She couldn’t believe it had come to this. She couldn’t believe she was even considering it.
Beca was the love of her life, she loved her more than she’d ever thought possible, but she meant what she said when she said she couldn’t do this anymore.
She couldn’t carry on watching the woman she loved slowly kill herself for a career that wouldn’t even notice she was gone.
Leaving Beca was the last thing she ever thought she’d do - the last thing she ever wanted to do - but she was just so tired. Tired of the empty promises, of dinners that were thrown away uneaten, of waking up alone in the middle of the night.
She was just plain tired.
She sat down on the bed, her bag still empty, clothes sitting in a neat pile beside it. She couldn’t bring herself to do it. Not yet.
She checked her phone.
Beca still had seven hours to prove her wrong. To come home and fight for her.
She curled up on the bed, her back to Beca’s side, and she carried on crying until she fell asleep.
-
She didn’t feel like she’d been asleep long when she was woken up by the feeling of the bed dipping behind her.
She heard the rustling of sheets and then felt a hand settle on her hip.
The person behind her pressed a kiss on her shoulder before their forehead came to rest against it. She heard them take a shuddering breath and hold it before letting out a shaky exhale.
Chloe was too afraid to turn around because she didn’t want this to be a dream.
“What time is it?” She asked, eventually.
“Almost midday,” Beca replied, her voice rough and heavy.
Chloe swallowed, but she didn’t turn.
“You left work early,” she said.
She heard Beca take another deep shaky breath. “I quit.”
Chloe sat up quickly and looked down at Beca. “You what?”
“I quit,” Beca repeated.
“Bec, this was your dream job. I never meant for you to give it up, I just wanted you home more. I wanted you to take care of yourself,” Chloe said, guilt pooling in her stomach.
“And they weren’t willing to let me do that,” Beca said, sitting up too. “If my dream job comes at the cost of everything else in my life, including you and my health, then it isn’t a dream worth chasing.” Beca shook her head. “He would have let me work myself to the bone, and then replaced me in a flash as soon as I burned out.”
“Are you sure about this? I don’t want you to resent me down the line because you think I forced an ultimatum on you.”
“I’d never resent you,” Beca said. “I’m so sorry for these past few months. I’m so sorry I drove you to this point. I… I love you. I love you so much.”
Tears were filling her eyes again, and Chloe couldn’t stop herself from pulling Beca into her arms.
“Please don’t leave,” Beca said, sobbing into Chloe’s chest as she clung to her with everything she had.
“I’m not leaving,” Chloe said, without any trace of doubt in her mind that she was making the right decision.
“I’ll do better,” Beca said. “I promise. And I’ll get another job as soon as I can.”
Chloe ended their hug and cupped Beca’s face in her hands. Her thumbs swept away the tears on her cheeks.
“We have enough saved up that you can afford to take time off. What I need is for you to take care of yourself,” Chloe said. “That means sleeping properly, eating properly, and drinking water. And I need you to be open with me when you’re struggling. Because I can’t help you when you shut me out.”
“I know,” Beca said. “I promise.”
Chloe looked into her eyes and she knew that she meant it. She pulled Beca back into her arms again.
“I‘ll let Aubrey know I’m not coming,” she said, feeling Beca deflate with relief in her arms.
“I can’t believe I almost lost you,” Beca said. “I’m never letting that happen again.”
They stayed in each other’s arms for a while, until they eventually lay down together.
“I’m guessing you didn’t have lunch today?” Chloe asked, her eyes threatening to close now that the tension had gone from her whole body.
“Too busy quitting,” Beca mumbled. “Nap first,” she said, stifling a yawn. “Food second.”
“I can live with that.”
They weren’t out of the woods yet.
There was still a lot to talk about. A lot to work through.
But Beca was home. She was sleeping wrapped up in Chloe’s arms and, for now, that was enough for both of them.

EMERGENCY REQS MASTERLIST - PART 2
The night wrapped itself around the house like a shroud, the darkness heavy and unyielding. The city outside thrummed with life, oblivious to the quiet storm brewing within the walls of the modest home.
Shouta Aizawa moved silently through the hallway, his senses heightened by a nagging worry that gnawed at his insides. It wasn’t a sound that drew him - it was an eerie stillness, an unnatural quiet that set his instincts on edge. His hand hesitated on the handle of your door before he pushed it open, the creak of the hinges echoing loudly in the oppressive silence.
The room was bathed in the soft, muted glow of a single lamp, casting long shadows that danced along the walls. There, on the edge of your bed, you sat, your figure hunched over, the weight of your despair palpable. You clutched something tightly in your hand, and Aizawa’s heart clenched with a sudden, terrible understanding.
“Hey,” his voice was a rough whisper, cracking with the strain of keeping his emotions in check. He stepped into the room, closing the door softly behind him. His eyes scanned the scene, taking in every heartbreaking detail.
You didn’t look up. Your voice was small, broken. “Dad, I…”
“Hush, I know,” he replied quietly, his steps slow and deliberate as he moved closer to you. “I’m here now.”
The sob that tore from your throat was raw, a sound of pure agony. “I just feel so lost, Dad. Like I’m drowning, and I… I thought…”
He sank down beside you, the bed dipping under his weight. His presence was solid, a beacon of stability in your chaotic world. “Look at me,” he urged, his hand gentle as he tilted your chin up, forcing your tear-filled eyes to meet his. “You’re not alone, ever. I’m here, and I’m not going anywhere.”
The floodgates opened, and the tears streamed down your cheeks unchecked. “But it’s so hard,” you choked out, your voice quivering. “Everything just feels so heavy, all the time.”
Aizawa’s heart ached, his own eyes stinging with unshed tears. He wrapped his arm around your shoulders, pulling you into a tight embrace. “I know it does,” he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. “And it’s okay to feel this way. But you don’t have to carry this burden alone. I’m here, your friends are here, everyone who loves you is here. We can find help, talk to someone who can guide us through this.”
You clung to him, your body shaking with the force of your sobs. “I’m so scared, Dad. I don’t know how to keep going.”
“I know you are,” he whispered, his grip tightening as if he could physically shield you from the darkness threatening to engulf you. “And that’s okay. You’re strong, stronger than you realize, and I’ll be here to remind you of that whenever you need it.”
The silence that followed was heavy but no longer suffocating.
Your cries gradually quieted, your breathing evening out as you found solace in your father’s unwavering support.
Aizawa held you close, his presence a comforting balm against your raw, exposed emotions. “You’re not alone,” he repeated softly, the words a lifeline in the dark sea of your despair. “I’m here, and we’ll get through this together.”
Eventually, you pulled back slightly, looking up at him with red-rimmed eyes and a tentative, fragile spark of hope. “Do you really think I can get through this?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper. “Do you really think I have a purpose?”
Aizawa nodded, his gaze steady and filled with unwavering conviction. “I know you can, and I know you do. It won’t be easy, and there will be days when it feels impossible. But you are not alone in this fight. I’ll be with you every step of the way.”
You nodded slowly, the weight on your chest easing just a fraction. “Thank you, Dad.”
He pressed a gentle kiss to the top of your head, his voice soft and filled with love. “No need to thank me. That’s what family is for, kitten. We’re in this together, now and always.”
As you both sat there, wrapped in each other’s presence, the first light of dawn began to seep through the curtains, casting a soft glow over the room. It was a new day, a new beginning.

Talking to the Moon
Rating: 13+
Word count: Just under 3.5k
Characters: Judith Grimes, Negan Smith (NOT A SHIP!!!!!!); mentions of Carl, Rick, Michonne, Carol, Enid, and R.J.
Setting: Alexandria, post 6 year jump
Content Warnings: sibling grief, talks of death, a little bit of suicidal ideation in here too I think, vulgarity, light talk of typical TWD violence, just lots of sad. Sorry. Fluffy ending tho!
Summary: Judith is getting older, and it’s not fair that Carl isn’t.
Author’s Note: Okaaayy so I really did not want the first piece I published on here to be an angsty vent but life kinda decided to bodyslam me (as usual) so anyways have this lol. I spent all day yesterday writing this in between crying fits and I’m only finishing it now.. oopsie whoopsies. A little context I guess, my older brother was shot and killed 5 years ago, and in 5 years I will be older than he got to be. That’s heavily implemented in here, as well as just the majority of Judith’s dialogue being my own thoughts/feelings. Sometimes it just hits you again, man. My therapist likes me to write it out 🤷🏻 I’m workin on other stuff that isn’t like this so pls bear w me y’all 😭🙏🏽
Beta’d by @murdadixon as alwayysss
Midnight marked her 10th birthday.
She liked to keep track of time in intervals of five. R.J. was currently an interval of 5. He died at an interval of five. She was reaching an interval of 5 herself, right now. In a demi-decade, she would encounter the age he’d never passed; and in a decade, she would be 5 years older than he’d ever be. Five felt significant, and she did not—she simply felt like her brother’s stand-in.
Judith sat on the edge of the wooden boardwalk with her legs drawn up to her chest and both arms wrapped around her knees, chin rested atop them, and stared blankly at the water source before her. Tried to mimic its stillness. But she disrupted it, instead, because the tears swimming in her brown eyes splattered down and sent ripples coursing across the surface, growing larger the further they fanned out and expanded.
That was, similarly, how missing Carl felt. At the start, it was a heavy impact, it obliterated the calmness, and as the years blazed past, it got further away and yet simultaneously… bigger. How could something shrink and grow? How could she grow, every day; and yet consistently feel as if she were being pushed back, made smaller? Small enough to be back in his arms again, like before, like that final night she knew him.
She would appreciate his last words this time. She would wrangle her brain up into her juvenile hands and pin it down to carve them over the top of her damn hippocampus to keep them there; even if it did mean her blood got everywhere, even if it meant she lost all the rest of her cognitive function. Truthfully, she did not want to function this way. Being medically brain dead would be a graciousness. Or maybe just being bit.
Feeling the fever Carl did would unite them in a way.
The panels beside her creaked recognizably, a familiar gait and stride, and Judith’s fingers twitched to move instinctively for a gun she knew she wouldn’t brandish. The scuffed tips of two large black boots entered her peripheral vision but she did not turn her gaze.
“Hey there, Miss Grimes.”
Negan sat in a loose mirror of Judith’s position—he struggled with holding his legs in exactly the same manner and had to improvise considerably. He got himself comfortable with his legs toward his chest but with a short gap between his thighs, toes pointing outward instead of inward as Judith’s were, and both forearms crossed above his knees to lie his head upon.
“Don’t really like water, kid, but I’m diving in there after ya if you jump, so please don’t, alright? For me?”
The preteen wiped her right cheek against her bicep and tilted her head to rest the left cheek against the adjacent knee and look at her guest. Her eyes weren’t really seeing him, but she was trying to acknowledge the fact that he’d joined her. “How’d you get out?”
He ignored that she ignored his question and instead plastered on the usual grin, even if the edges were heavy and worn down, and lifted a finger to his smile.
Shhhh, it’s a secret. It went without saying.
“I should shoot you. I brought my gun,” she pestered, poking a bear with a stick. Only, this bear was a puppy. And the humor behind the words didn’t reach her tone.
He decided not to address her monotony.
“Mmhmm. Right.”
“I would.”
“I know,” he grinned again, more genuinely, and his side administered a dull throb almost out of nostalgia. She had, in fact, shot him. He wouldn’t challenge that.
There were only a few moments that went without speech. Judith found herself gazing ahead again, tapping her right cowgirl boot without tempo because it was simply to alleviate the odd, incessant gnawing in her gut that screamed to bounce her leg, or else.
“Why don’t I get to have a word?” she blurted out, albeit quietly, almost unaware that Negan could not read her mind and was clueless to what she really meant. The man hummed questioningly as if to say ‘continue,’ and Judith finished verbalizing the thought. “I mean… mom’s a widow, and you’re a widower. Enid is an orphan. Aunt Carol is a v- vi..lo..mah, she lost her daughter Sophia.” The young girl struggled on the pronunciation momentarily before returning to the point. “But what am I? Just… a kid who lost a brother? Don’t I deserve a word? Doesn’t Carl? I think he deserves more than one. I would give him them all.”
In truth, Negan would not have heard the second half of her statement had they not been knee-to-knee. Even from only having a view of the profile of her face, he could tell that she was fighting back the need to cry. The intensity with which she swallowed, the twitch of the corners of her frown, her small nostrils flaring. She was probably also avoiding allowing her voice to crack.
Kids don’t ever deserve to feel this way. Adults can hardly even cope with loss. He’d seen it sometimes before, the occasional teen with swollen eyes and dark circles wordlessly offering him a slip with a small, rectangular obituary card stapled to the top left corner to excuse a few days of absence after the passing of a parent, guardian, or otherwise crucial family member. And similar to now, he truly tried his best… when it came to situations like that. It was hard—shit, it still is hard, but after eventually grasping that what most of them wanted was to just be heard (and not to be told that a kick-ass exercise routine could distract a weak mind, or about how being a pussy didn’t get you pussy), he’d take his attendance and approach again with a juniors mitt and baseball to throw at the wall and catch while they cried, screamed, shook, even dissociated some of them. He’d never been a great man, or honestly even a kind teacher; Savior Negan essentially just carried on acting as he had before Lucille’s confrontation, diagnosis, and passing; but the kids who saw through him loved him. When the rest loathed to hear ‘Mr. Smith,’ though no one was to blame for that but himself. To the damaged kids, the whole façade of coolness he tried to upkeep around his classes was utter horseshit because they found him badass when he let them bitch about things without taking to the nearest phone as a mandatory reporter.
Judith was, arguably, the most mature ten year old with significant trauma that he’d ever sat with. Children that young hadn’t been his area of work, really, but there were a handful of times one of his high school students had to drag along a little sibling because they’d emancipated after the death of the only responsible parent, were granted custody of the kid, and the younger had a day off. Other stories, heavily similar or drastically different, with the same outcome. Judith was more put together than half of the seniors that had dished their shit out on him. In a strictly militant world and with no empire turning to him for guidance, there was no excuse to be assertive around her age bracket. He would tell her she was strong, that she was an Amazon warrior who could brave anything and then have to explain Wonder Woman comics, but the probability was massive that she could only grasp some variation of control over herself in these heavy moments because life now held a sickening promise that anything could be marred with a streak of blood. That you have to always be ready to mourn.
So fucked up.
His prior internal assessment to remain silent and give her more time to process her feelings into words proved correct when Judith turned her head back in his direction again with more to express to him.
“Dad isn’t here anymore to tell me what Carl was like at my age. Or tell me stories about before everything got bad. And mom wasn’t around for all that stuff. But even if she was, I- I hate always hearing about him from other people. About how they won’t ever get to see him grow up. Why does everyone else get to remember my brother? Why doesn’t anybody care that I gotta know he’s not watching me grow up anymore? I want to remember Carl on my own, but I was too little!” Her delicate voice shattered beneath the weight of her last sentence, and the way her eyebrows were flying into all different angles on her face betrayed that her developing mind didn’t know what to do with the guilt that ignited furiously behind her ribs for seemingly such a selfish notion. It was a vicious fact that Judith almost never understood what she was feeling, not acutely.
But, she trusted Negan. He’d told her things that no one else had cared to let her know. About Abraham. About Glenn. About Sasha, Denise, uncle Daryl. Everyone she loved had been damaged by him in some way, but… they’d all together affected him, too.
Maybe he changed. Or maybe he’d been keeping this Negan safe. Whatever the case, here he was, out of his cell, not even allowing his knee to bump her own.
This man had killed people? He was the kindest one here to her. Especially when it came to stuff like this. Other Alexandrians always dismissed her; she didn’t have any “adult” problems worth sparing their time for. How could the big bad wolf be so tame?
Judith wiped both of her eyes and straightened her left leg out halfway. “If… if Carl hadn’t got bit, what do you think things would be like now?”
And that question certainly beckoned an answer. He had been allowing her to talk as much as she felt necessary tonight, content to simply sit quietly and be an ear for the little girl as she often was for him. His skull would have been split open on one of those prison walls years ago had it not been for his little window and Judith’s spark of rebellious humanity.
Negan responded honestly, as was always the case with her. “I woulda killed every last one of these dickwipes, and brought you and Carl back to the Sanctuary with me. I don’t kill kids. But I don’t think your brother would have been too crazy about that. Nah, with those titanium balls of his, he would have taken me down, torn all of my people apart limb from fuckin’ limb. Yeah…,” he peered down at Judith, who was just watching him with her elbow on her extended knee and her cheek rested on her palm. No signs of distress. He continued on. “Yeah, Prick thought he was a badass, but Carl? Well, he was the real badass. Anybody could’a killed me, my bet was on him. Catch me off guard, I wouldn’t have fought back. I think he would have stocked one of my big ass trucks with everything he needed and taken off with you knowing he won. But he also would have lost everything.”
Now, Judith’s energy had shifted back into that murky cloud it had resembled before. Not entirely, but to a noticeable degree. Negan cursed under his breath.
“Did I scare you talking abou-”
“You think Carl would have raised me all on his own? You really think he would have done that?”
“Oh, I know it,” Negan nodded adamantly, without aggressive urgency, and chipped a piece of plastic from the aglet of his shoelace to chuck into the water. “Carl loved you more than anyone else, I think.”
A brittle, cracked sob drew his attention immediately to the little girl beside him, left hand reaching out to comfort on instinct and then hovering uselessly between them. Judith gave her permission with action instead of words; turning her legs off to the side to be able to roll onto her right hip and notch herself against Negan’s side. She rested her head against his knee and old tears from her cheek seeped through the thin material of his jumper. The previously awkward arm dropped around her own and he settled for hanging his hand at an outward angle away from her body. He’d comfort the kid but any one of the adults here would send Michonne into a goddamned stroke by reporting that he’d made an attempt against her daughter's life by, say, scratching the back of her head. Some asinine bullshit. He wouldn’t risk it, and not because of himself. No, he’s a big boy and can handle his own conflicts. But Judith would get in so much unnecessary trouble.
After taking a minute to gather herself, Judith whispered, “I think I would have liked that better.”
“…What, Carl taking care of ya?” He queried. “Y’know that means you wouldn’t have your mom, or dad, or-”
“Mommies and daddies die before their kids do, or they’re supposed to. Siblings are- they’re supposed to be there the whole time you grow up, and after. You’re supposed to live your life together. And they’re not supposed to die before you mom and dad do.”
“Kid-”
“I want Carl. I’d give up anyone here to get him back.”
It proved remarkably difficult given how much taller he was than her, but Negan managed to make do. He tilted his neck to a sideways angle and rested his head on top of hers whilst fishing through his right pocket.
Judith peeked up at him. “What’re you doing? Are you gonna stab me for making you sad? I’ve still got my-”
“No. Don’t be nosey,” he goaded and even ventured so far as to stick his tongue out and wrinkle his nose. Her head dropped back down to his leg just as quickly as it rose, and Negan’s fingers closed around the surprise.
“Sounds like a candy wrapper…,” she mumbled, still too lost in her own head and the darkness residing.
Two bright blue pouches withdrew from his pocket, and his brown eyes traveled skyward. “Moon’s right above our heads now. Means it’s midnight. I got ya a gift.”
A second, smaller pair of brown irises gazed upon the same sky, and her bottom lip began to give way into trembles again so Negan damn near shoved the quite literally sweet present directly in front of her face.
Judith blinked, eyes focusing on the text in front of them that stood out violently against the package design. “What’s ‘Razzles?’” A small hand accepted the curious, but still exciting new treat, and read the yellow script surrounding the name at the top and bottom. “‘First it’s candy, then it’s gum’? What’s gum?”
Negan had already ripped his open. “You’re about to give me one fat ass kiss, Miss Grimes,” he mused delicately, tossing three colorful disks into his mouth.
His much younger counterpart followed suit, unsure of how to react while the candy crunched before a scintillating smile broke out across her face and two more pieces joined the first. “Where’d you get these?”
“…Okay, don’t laugh,” he deadpanned, and couldn’t help but smirk when Judith narrowed her eyes at him and raised an accusatory eyebrow, still blissfully chewing away. “I’ve gotta secret admirer.” He drew his shoulders up into a loose shrug, threw his hands out in a ‘surprise!’ gesture and dropped his mouth open to an overly enthused smile as the preteen choked on gum.
“WHAT?!? What do you mean?! Tell me, tell me!”
He wouldn’t comment on how much tension finally dissipated from his body and mind at the eager enthusiasm on Judith’s face. This had all been so… glum. “Don’t know, but they slip me goodies through the bars on the window. I asked Father Freaky for some paper to draw, keep my mind busy y’know, and left a note up there requesting a special birthday gift for my best friend. They got dropped in this morning.”
“So, someone here in Alexandria?” she asked, munching her way through her bag of sweets. There was a twinkle in her eyes, finally, so he’d entertain it.
He shrugged idly. “I’d assume so. I’ve got my fingers crossed there’s some freaky deaky coming my way!!”
“Oh, ew. There it is, you ruined this whole thing.” Judith pushed on the side of his knee with both hands to amass enough force to actually shove his leg over.
“Damn. This whole thing, huh?”
“Mmhmm,” she hummed, her mouth now so full of chewed up gray gum that speaking proved difficult.
Negan chomped down on a considerable number of candies all at once and reached for Judith’s own pack of Razzles. “Alright, I’ll just take this then, since I fucked up your birthday and all.” A deep, rumbling laugh burst forth from up out of his chest when the ten year old shouted ‘NO!!!’ and a huge wad of gum rolled out of her mouth to plink into the water and bob along to float elsewhere. The pout her bottom lip garnished was impressive and Negan glanced around to the houses in the distance behind them, all of the windows being dark with the quiet insinuation of sleep, to ensure the absence of scrutinizing eyes before taking one of Judith’s hands into his own to unload half the contents of his own candy until her palm was overflowing and a few stray pieces thumped down against the wood. Negan administered the 5 second rule with a quickness and claimed them for himself.
“Thanks,” she chimed faintly, and set about organizing the surplus of thin, cylindrical candies into separate groups of yellow, purple, orange, pink, and blue.
Negan tucked his hand back to his side and pointedly did not give any attention to the prominent droop Judith’s shoulders adopted afterward. He wondered fleetingly if anyone in town ever just… gave the kid a hug. “Ah, don’t worry about it. Really. It’s not like I went out and found these myself.” He pointed one of his own bits of candy at her and added, “Well, you can always just find my paramour and thank them yourself.”
She tilted her head back against his arm to smile up at him. “You just want me to get you deets. You have a crush on this person already, uncle Negan?”
“I’ll love anybody who gives me attention at this point,” he shrugged again, tone steady despite the admission. “Aren’t I hopelessly in love with you, Miss Grimes?”
Her braid swung and the sheriff’s hat far too oversized for her head shifted slightly out of place when she nodded. She tucked the intertwined strands of hair behind her ear after they fell into her face and tickled her nose. “I never hear mom say that she loves me.”
“Ah, she does.” He tapped a finger against his temple once he knew Judith was looking at him and would see it. “She’s got a lot going on up here. But I bet if you went up to Mich and told her first, she’d say it back.”
The young girl nodded again, though this motion was a simple, stiff jerk and only once. Drastically unlike the one he’d earned for himself just moments prior. Judith didn’t believe that Michonne really loved her, but she could easily surmise that he did. “Love you, too,” she murmured and a hefty sigh followed closely behind. Judith tapped the toes of her boots against the boardwalk and followed Negan’s offered instruction to bravely attempt blowing her first bubble. It snapped into a sticky disaster on her lips. The pair fell into a comfortable, innocent, expectationless silence. Negan eventually polished off the last of his candy and crumpled the wrapper up to tuck away into the pocket he retrieved it from, along with Judith’s once she’d finished her own. She was, reasonably, exhausted, and it didn’t take long for him to realize that Judith had drifted off leaning against him.
Next thing he knew, the clouds were graying and little hands were nudging his arm, accompanied by a sleep-slurred voice telling him to wake up. His legs were numb from having remained in the same seated position for what had to be at least a couple hours, but Negan still managed to get himself up into his feet and follow her along as she led the way to his cell. A sheepish smile and tired shrug was all he could muster when her eyes lingered on the lock and bobby-pin discarded haphazardly in the middle of the concrete. He took his place on his cot and watched the child close the bars behind him and slide the lock back into place.
Judith turned from him to walk away, but threw a drowsy smile over her shoulder and waved. And pointless as it was, he spoke after she’d left and her shadow had already passed by his solitary window.
“Happy birthday, kid.”
I think I get attached to characters like Negan who are dangerous and have soft hearts because that’s exactly what my brother was like.
I miss my Carl ❤️🩹
